Emperor Georgiou's Tea Room

It is expensive, the food is very mediocre with poor selection, 35$ for "tea service", for no options for sandwiches, and unsatisfying scones and whatever else was served. The teas were fine but not for 35$. Service and staff were pleasant, but to call this "star trek themed", and have 2 murals from DISCOVERY, and very few actual references or decor for star trek, this is NOT worth the money, and is a poor execution of star trek and a tea house. Absolutely would not recommend.

Dietary restrictions: All foods are vegan only it seems, no options, and is not advertised ad vegan only. Also not even tasty vegan only options. Very limited menu.

Wonderful food, staff, and atmosphere. We recently went to high tea elsewhere and paid so much more for less. Everything is delicious and well-priced here!

Met with some friends for tea. We had reservations for 4 and everyone had a good time. The tea was excellent and they had many options. I really appreciated the gluten free service they offered. All the tea snacks were great. The service was great and we all had a lot of fun.

Fun way to spend time with family or friends or both. Beautiful tea room with amazing vegetarian and vegan food options along with great teas to try.Ventured out today for a morning tea and totally enjoyed our brunch. Fantastic service and the teas are wonderful. The mini sandwiches are a nice treat and the pastries and scones are so tasty and fresh.Had a wonderful time today, we will return.

I used to love this place and even went for my birthday last year. I will not be returning though! The owners treat the employees terribly and police their every move, they recently laid off several incredible people. Don't support the capitalist trash that run this place! Go eat somewhere worker owned or drink tea at home.

The staff and atmosphere were wonderful. They were attentive and patient with us while we chose our tea. The tea was phenomenal - they have curated a fun and delicious list.The missing star comes from the food in general - it was catered toward vegan and gluten free pallettes which is fine, but none of it wowed me. The "meat" in the sandwich was a fun mushroom composition but the sandwich was kinda dry around the edges/wasn't filled well so you got a lot of just bread bites and the scone was dry and hard. Their sides, though, were delicious - this includes the two jams and clotted cream to go with the scones and crumpets.The amount of food was surprisingly filling but I was disappointed in the amount of tea you get for one person (32oz French press) since they said the tea was bottomless. I couldn't even finish one French press so I wasn't able to try more teas.I wish they'd advertised that they sold their tea by itself like I saw in another review, or that the server mentioned this when I asked where they got their tea from, because the Silent Night was amazing and I would have loved some for home.Overall it was a fun experience though.

I have never felt so well taken care of at a restaurant of any kind! Heather, our server, offered to bring us a larger chair for our larger friend. They added glitter to our tea so that we could see the stars, brought us matching cups according to the colors of our tea, and was just an overall joy. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. This is the best tea room experience I've ever had.Oh! And the food! Everything we tried was so scrumptious. The teas were delightful. They had so many offerings for different dietary restrictions too.

Vegetarian options: The roasted mushroom and caramelized onion sandwiches are to die for.

Dietary restrictions: There is an option on the website to list your dietary needs, even before you show up!

Wheelchair accessibility: The tea room has no stairs and has plenty of room between tables for wheelchairs.

Y'all, this place is fire. My tea was purple and delicious, and the whole place is beautiful and full of stars, and the staff are super friendly and accommodating and cool. Space!

My husband and I loved our experience here today. Everything from the tea, to the food, to the service, to the decor all were wonderful. The entire service is very reasonably priced for what you get. Be sure to reserve a table. The entire establishment only has about 10 tables and tea service takes at least an hour per group.I had the amazing purple rain tea and the fruity notes paired extremely well with the jams that came with the tea service. I was worried that I was going to still be hungry afterwards but the food was not only delicious but perfectly filling.I highly recommend it to anyone that wants a cozy and whimsical experience with their tea and crumpets.

Vegetarian options: You would not know that the majority of the food is vegan. It all tastes amazing and fresh. The menu is very easy to read what is and isn't vegetarian, vegan or gluten free.

Dietary restrictions: My spouse and I both have nut allergies. The staff was amazing at helping us navigate the menu and we had no issues enjoying the food that was prepared. If you have allergies or restrictions, they are some of the most accommodating places I've been to.

Out of chai tea on Valentine's Day.All sandwiches on the tower were cucumber and cream cheeseService was very slow.Wasn't worth what we paid for it.We left still hungry.

Updating my review since their move to the Kenton neighborhood. There's outside seating although no longer a patio; plus in an interesting Portlandian way, there are more Star Trek, less english cottage vibes. The customer service is (still) excellent and the tea service is (still) delightful. The To-Go window is also a great option for pick-up!We had a phenomenal tea service on the patio. Excellent customer service (thank you, Keke!). Definitely visiting again.
