Disappointing.1. LOUD. Turn the musak down about 40 decibels.2. This is a trendy overpriced hipster place. Better, cheaper Vietnamese food can be easily found on the east side of the river.3. The meat in their signature dish reminded me of that old Charlie Chaplin movie where he’s gnawing on the sole of a shoe.4. The order-everything-up-front model is broken. 2 bites into the appetizer all the other food comes. By the time you finish the app. the rest is getting cold.5. The flavors & seasonings are OK but muted. This is Viet food for peeps who don’t know no Better.6. Don’t get me started on an A$ian restaurant w/ soy sauce in To-Go packets that you have to ask for!

I went here when they first opened and it was great. But now they give you extremely small portions and the pho I got was terrible, no flavor whatsoever and they gave very little vegetables. The food quality definitely isn’t there anymore. Even though they have patio seating and say they close at 12 am. They didn’t let us sit on the patio seating even though it was only 10:20 pm. The people working there weren’t the nicest and came off very unwelcoming.

Delightful atmosphere: the use of pink, orange AND red, together in the decor is surprising and poignant. The staff is beyond lovely, the food scrumptious. As you can see, I had a feast!Vegetarian options: The vegetarian bowl is delish!
Great food across the board. If you haven’t been, give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.

I can't go more than a couple of weeks without ordering something from Luc Lac.

Really disappointing Vietnamese food…if you’ve had any other Vietnamese food or are looking for something authentic I would go to literally any other place. The interior looks cool and I feel like that’s the only reason it’s rated so highly.

This place had the best Combo Vermicelli Bowl, the combination is great, the favor is good, and all ingredients are fresh. My wife preferred the Pho to be a bit hotter (steamier). The place is a bit trendy look compared to traditional Viet places. Definitely will go back when I visit Portland next time

Good service, staff are patient and friendly. Interesting exotic environment. I had the combo, it was good: good rice with bbq pork, beef, chicken, and shrimp; and fresh salad. Big portion for only $19! The Vietnamese coffee was very good, I can’t sleep after that cup of coffee. ?

Very interesting decorations, more like Viet fusion foods. I had the Bo Luc Lac and it was not as tender as I expected but portion was big.

My wife showed me this place and I absolutely love it ?
We have been fans of Luc Lac since 2013 and the quality of food has remained consistently top notch - there is nothing on the menu I would not recommend.I usually order the coconut curry with chicken, but the pho is also fantastic, as well as the green beans, and pork crispy rolls, and their boozy drinks and...You get the idea ?

Don't order rice noodles. It's salt rice noodles. It's really too salty. Chicken wings are delicious.

Lengthy wait due to crowds, but worth it for its eclectic vibe and decent portions.

A vibrant restaurant, with lots of seating inside and out. Delicious food, beautiful decor and beautiful colors. I devoured what was on my plate and enjoyed watching other patrons devour theirs too, as illustrated!
