Our favorite. We moved up here so my wife partner could do a doctorate program and this was the first place we went out to and we haven’t really gone anywhere else and when we do we always end up saying we should just go to lulu’s. 🫣 The bartender May is amazing. We’ve only had food here once, but it was very yummy. We order the Oaxaca Shame it’s our fave 🖤

LULU is an absolute gem in Portland—and if you’re lucky enough to sit at the bar with Josh behind it, cancel your next plan, because you’re not leaving anytime soon.
Let’s start with the dirty martinis. Josh makes them so perfectly dirty, cold, and balanced that I accidentally had four. Or maybe it was five? Who’s counting when you’re sipping what tastes like the essence of sophistication, with a side of “I’m never drinking anything else again”?
To soak up all that vodka (because, again, I had FOUR), I ordered the salt and pepper squid—crispy, tender, and seasoned like a chef whispered poetry to it before frying. I could have eaten a bucket of it, but I’m classy now (dirty martinis, remember?).
What really made the night was Josh’s stellar service. Between shaking cocktails like a magician and handling a busy bar, he still made time for a genuinely intimate convo about Portland’s food and drink scene. This man knows his stuff—gave me top-tier recommendations for where to go next (if I ever recover from the martinis, that is).
10/10 recommend sitting at the bar, ordering the squid, and letting Josh guide your evening. Just make sure your Uber app is updated—you’re gonna be there a while.

New favorite spot in all of Portland. Bartenders, Clay and Josh were an absolute vibe- great at their craft while personable and knowledgeable. The talented chef created a super tasty menu- we had the weekly special, which was a delicious ono tiradito and all menu items were creative and well presented. Happy hour was generous and an incredible value for the high quality food, cocktails and service. We will absolutely be back again! Thanks so much!

We were recommended to go to Lulu after a corporate event and had an absolute BLAST… The DJ - XERO totally made our night. We were vibing to the best 90s-00s music and he did such a great job feeling the energy of the bar. Highly recommend. I didn’t get food but our friends got the wings, empanadas, Peruvian fries and salad rolls and everything was delicious

Lulu’s happy hour is nothing short of amazing. Peruvian fries started the night off right, the drinks were on point and the glasses cold.
We ended up on Jazz night, what a great vibe. The Saltado was hearty and rich, highly recommend the steak but I am sure the tofu version would be Devine as well. This will be a new stop going forward after work.
The staff was nothing short of amazing, Clay and Josh were fantastic. Ladies- forget the drinks or food, these guys are reason alone to stop.
