Master Kong's looks like a pretty unassuming neighborhood restaurant, like a lot of those in Portland, but the jianbing here really punches above its weight! We had a few different dumplings, the beef brisket, the jianbing, some vegetables, and everything was very well prepared and delicious. Loved it!

Updated: Still my favorite comfort food place. As a student, I don't have much to spend on food and I'll always choose this place for authenticity, flavor, and excellent value.

Enjoyed the beef noodle soup as well as the preserved egg congee.. comfort food especially in the cold wet PNW weather.

Noodles had the perfect chew, al dente texture.
Lots of beef in the noodle, a whole egg, and good amount of bachoy veggies.

You may, as I did, walk into Master Kong and assume that the portions are small, given the vast menu and reasonable prices. Do not do this. The portions are large and hearty, with shareable sizes (2 roujiamo per order, for example, or up to a dozen dumplings) and the food is delicious. You will not regret ordering too much food, as I did, but you will feel it.
Master Kong is delicious. I have longed for Chinese food of this quality for a long time, and I'm ecstatic...
