Amazing authentic Haitian food! For a minute I forgot I wasn't home. Great prices, and friendly and welcoming owner. You need to stop by Mathilde's kitchen to have the griot or chicken plate, you won't regret it!!!!
We discovered Mathilde's Kitchen when she was in NE and love going to eat at her cart at the Mercado. For a party we ordered 20 chicken meals off the catering menu with cabbage, rice and beans, plantains, and sweet potato salad and everyone raved about the food. This place is a Portland treasure.
This is one of the best Haitian food I have ever eaten. Her food is delicious and everyone who comes to visit Portland or comes through Portland should definitely give it a shot and have your taste buds bursting with Haitian flavors...
