McGillacuddy's Sports Bar & Grill

We went just the other night. We used to go here often but had not been in a while. The food was always good in the past and I will say that the service was still very good. I had the Big Mick burger and my wife had a patty melt. Have you changed meat suppliers? Nothing like how it used to be. Very dried out flavorless and overcooked. Sad compared to the past.

Overall a great local sports bar! Kay was super friendly and nice, and the beer was cold and plentiful. Had a great time for the short amount of time that we were there! Would certainly go again!

Beware the karaoke

A solid neighborhood sports bar.
TVs at every booth and on the walls, casual vibe.
Between the 3 of us we ordered a decent amount: garden salad, the Mac burger, a cheeseburger, wings, garlic bread, onion rings, and a cocktail.
We actually came here because one of the 3 had been here previously and said they had a good garden salad with good ranch.
Everything was solid. Other than the ranch, the burgers were the highlight - they smelled fresh off the grill, and they tasted like it too. The wings were good, garlic bread did its job, and the ranch was genuinely good. They missed putting in the onion ring order initially, but they were fresh when they came out and the waitstaff was kind enough to take it off the bill.
They were out of the main ingredient for the drink my friend wanted, but the replacement cocktail was fine.

Weekly deals and happy hour specials make it easy to justify coming back. Service was a little slow, but our waitress was friendly enough.
Good spot to catch a game or grab a casual meal without overthinking it.

We went on a Sunday late afternoon/early evening, there was only a handful of people present.

Good old-fashioned dive bar with a sports flavor.
They don’t have enough screens to be considered a modern sports bar, but it’s enough
The food is decent and very reasonably priced.
Let’s think Neighbourhood dive bar with some great food specials like the all you can eat tacos or brunch.

I go here frequently, alone, for great hamburgers & fries or a big salad, and of course their selection of Beers. I go alone because being older and hard of hearing I find the atmosphere too loud for conversation. My sister gives a 5 star, I might too if I bought some hearing aids and could join her.

I'm not into sports bars, however, this place has a lot going for it. Having a dedicated TV at each booth is awesome and you can tune into whatever you want (within reason you sickos). Meanwhile the weekend all-you-can eat breakfast is an insanely good value at $15 a person without being bad food at all. Rare good value gem in Portland. Get your grub on.
