I came into this location today while I was having a panick attack and feeling unwell due to the heat, and the 2 gentleman that were working (I didn’t catch there names) were so kind, they let me and my friend sit in a private room where a fan was to cool off. I wanted to thank them for their kindness!! Thank you.
I should have know something was up when on a Friday night. This place has 6 groups of dinners and 5 locals at the bar. $50 for a beer, half a tuna salad sandwich with tater tots and Fish and Chips that I’m 99% sure was re-plated Long John Silvers. Service was great. Staff was super friendly. Food… Not so much.
Great food, great drinks - our server Raven was fantastic and made our experience perfect! Checked in regularly and we had a great time. 10/10!
Very reliable. Means a lot in this city.
I like the fish and chips. I like the beer menu.
I’m not one to leave bad reviews, but I have always loved the McMenamin’s establishments and this time I was so disappointed. The food was great but the service was not. I came here with my mom and 2 year old son. When placing our order with our waiter, we were not given a children’s menu even when we asked about children’s drinks and food options. He blatantly told us that all he had was soda. We asked again if there was any sort of juice option for kids and he said there is a fresh squeezed orange juice but it was $5, in a tone that definitely seemed condescending. So we had ordered a grown up sized cheese pizza and just a water for my son who definitely couldn’t eat all of that. Then as I walked around to find some crayons and paper to draw on for my son, I found the kids menu. I looked at it and the pricing for a kids cheese pizza is less than half the price of the full pizza we ended up ordering, plus there were many more drink and food options available for kids. When we brought up to him that we didn’t know there was a kids menu, all he said was “Oh, you didn’t know?” And we said no and that we had ordered the cheese pizza for him but we could have ordered the kids pizza, then he said that they’re the same size anyway and when brought up that the price wasn’t the same, he just walked away without a word. This is the most horrible service we have ever had at a McMenamins and having been my first time at this location, I am so disappointed. Maybe this guy is new or something, but he needs to really work on his customer service skills and not to be that girl, but we were the only people of color at this time and place (Saturday 3/29/25 around 2pm), maybe he has some biases towards Asians or something but this location really needs to do some training with this fellow and go over their available menu options because clearly he is lacking in product knowledge.
I finished the passport page here and got the sabertooth wings...Those are so delicious. Service was spot on and actually really fast for McMenamins. The location is pretty cool. This neighborhood is coming back together.
Overpriced garbage
Music was a bit loud, made conversations hard to hear.
closing at 10pm on a Saturday is absolutely horrible. +2 stars for closing at 12am or later.
Friendly staff. Great location. Good food. Late night stop: Bri & I had the Aztec salad & tots, both were delicious.

I just stopped in a week ago for a quick bite the night before leaving and it was during happy hour. Tried the Irish Ale and it was very good, as well as the burger. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

The best Experience I've had since Deadpool came out. Steven, Macey, and Lee took their time to treat my wife and twins like family. Steven recommended Tots... take their word when they recommended food.

The food and beer were excellent. In my opinion, that was a very high price for 5 small wings, though. For that price, you get 12 wings at other restaurants.

2 of us had fish and chips with slaw and we both agreed that the tartar sauce was the best part of the meal. The fish batter was so so greasy that there was a puddle under the fish. The fries were old and cold. The slaw had no flavor. I'm wondering how this location stays open.

We arrived at 5:25P for happy hour. The sign at the top of the steps said please seat yourself. We chose the patio. After 15 minutes of waiting, I went to check in at the bar. I only received a “hello”. I grabbed myself a menu and went back to the patio. After another 25 minutes the wait staff finally came out. There was zero apology for the length of the wait. When I asked how long the wait would be for food they replied with “I don’t know, I haven’t been back to the kitchen.” When I stated we missed happy hour times because we waiting over 30 minutes to be greeted, again, no apology. We paid full price for drinks and full price for food because at this rate we were beyond hangry and fed up with trying to figure out where to go instead. I have been to multiple Mcmenamins locations and this by far was the worst service experience I have ever had.
