I think Portland suffers from an over saturation of "sushi" restaurants. My advice to my fellow sushi connoisseurs is to pass on this place. Overpriced for the portions and not too impressive.

A personal note to the owner; You should prioritize your in-house customers over the volume of Uber Eats customers that order from here.

For how long I waited for my meal, you'd think the wait time would match quality. It doesn't.

We love the food here and always take friends and family when they are in town. The service was extremely slow this time. Ramen came out for those who ordered it way before our sushi was ready. We had an amazing experience over the summer and the last two times have been lacking in service and atmosphere. It was busy, we had a party of 7. Seated pretty quickly, but the rest was slow. Other tables received orders before we did. Hope to continue going and have better luck next time.

Last Saturday, I celebrated my wedding anniversary at Mirakutei Sushi with my wife, indulging in their Omakase menu. Chef Hiro San (Hiroshi San) hasn't fully retired yet; he's in a semi-retired state, only serving Omakase on Fridays and Saturdays.

Exceptional Sushi Quality
The quality of sushi served was truly one of the best experiences I've ever had. The fish was marinated for hours before dinner in the traditional way, allowing me to savor the distinct flavors of each variety, including tuna, salmon, tuna belly, eel, and calamari.

Chef Hiro San's Culinary Mastery
Unlike some cheaper sushi restaurants that overuse lemon, making all fish taste similar, Hiro San's creations were exquisitely delicious. Each piece of sushi was prepared fresh on the spot, showcasing his dedication to quality and craftsmanship.

A Satisfying Dining Experience
After enjoying the appetizer course and sushi, my wife and I were comfortably full and thoroughly satisfied with the exceptional quality of the food. Even the dessert was perfect - we ordered sesame ice cream and green tea cheesecake, which provided a delightful end to our meal.

Highly Recommended
I wholeheartedly recommend visiting Mirakutei Sushi while Chef Hiro San is still actively serving customers. His skill and attention to detail make for an unforgettable dining experience. We will definitely be returning for more of his culinary artistry.

Delicious, high quality sushi with wonderful service spent about $40 per person without drinks, but left full and satisfied. Will definitely vine back and highly recommend.

Took my son here for a late lunch. The miso cod was good. The ramen wasn't great, lots of bits of veggies inside, didn't like that, broth didn't really have flavor. The 4 different salmon nigiri was ok, not great. The sushi rolls were good. The Japanese uni scallop had too much vinegar in it, overpowered the fresh taste of the scallop and uni flavor, just tasted like vinegar.

We got the genki ramen. A very tasty lunch. Price was very reasonable. The sushi looked lovely but I'm not a big sushi guy. We asked for medium spicy and the chef used a very cautious hand. If you want a fiery bowl you may want to say spicy or very spicy. My bowl came with two slivers of spicy 🌶. Over all it was a great experience; this is the best ramen I've had on the east side.

Good evening, the rolls themselves are not bad, but the way the chefs prepare them is so bad that they are inedible, they just fall apart, they don't hold their shape, it's very disappointing, otherwise everything is very good, thank you for your attention

Wow! One of the best sushi spots I've been to. Got 4 rolls (2 seasonal ones) and some drinks. Really great food and definitely worth the price.

The ramen was the best ramen I’ve had. I got the Traditional Tonkotsu with tofu instead of meat, gluten free noodles, black garlic oil, and no nori. It was very delish! The only thing that was not good was the bamboo… there’s another restaurant that had bamboo in there just like it. Personally I think it’s foul, which is odd because I LOVE bamboo shoots in my Thai food. The marinade for them is gross. The waiter was very helpful and provided great service!

Came here wed eve with some girlfriends and the service and food was amazing! They even did us the honor of surprising my girlfriend with sliced birthday cake (which I brought in) and didn’t make a fuss or charge for it. The sushi quality was really great and the food came out fast. The salmon belly and Agadashi tofu was the best!! Highly recommend!

This restaurant has the best ramen I've ever had. I ordered the house ramen and asked for spicy. Phenomenal broth, not too spicy, all ingredients in the ramen were excellent.
