This is our favorite Japanese restaurant in Portland. The sushi rolls are creative, fresh, and tasty, and the ramen is the best we've had in Portland. We had the Tonkatsu Ramen and Sapporo Ramen. Both were flavorful without being too salty. The house-made green tea ice cream was special, too.
Overall, we had a great experience. However, diners should know that the service is not fast. It took a while to get our food even though they weren't busy. Go to Mirakutei if you have time to sit down and enjoy your dinner. If you're in a rush, it probably isn't the best place to go. In addition, the service was professional and friendly, but not all that attentive. Given how slow the restaurant was when we were there, I expected not to have to wave our server down on several occasions.

I love Mirautei! Hands down I think it’s some of the best ramen in town. Every roll I’ve had has also been fresh and delicious. Spicy tuna actually has some heat to it. Always looking forward to having dinner here.

Every dish I ordered was a masterpiece. The house tonkatsu ramen was rich and comforting, with a broth that could warm your soul. The dynamite salmon roll, hello kitty roll, and kazien roll each brought their own unique flavor profiles and textures—playful, bold, and beautifully balanced.
But the real showstopper? The chef’s choice sashimi. Each slice of fish was paired with toppings that elevated the flavor to a whole new level. It was clear that every detail was thoughtfully curated, and the result was nothing short of spectacular.
