A great casual Korean spot with good prices, portions, and flavors. Even though the restaurant name is Mokdong Gimbap, we tried two main dishes: pork cutlet and seafood soon-tofu. I’ve been craving the style of pork cutlet I used to have in Korea, and it was exactly what we were hoping for—so good! While we were enjoying that, the seafood soon-tofu came out, and it was perfectly seasoned, not bland or off at all. We got the medium spice level, which had a nice kick—perfect if you like real Korean spiciness. The seafood in the soon-tofu was fresh and plenty, and the side dishes were authentic and tasted homemade. The owner was super friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Next time, I’ll definitely try their Gimbap!

Wow, so glad I randomly walked into this place for a snack. I got the original kimbap and the bulgogi kimbap. It was delicious. Plenty of vegetables and flavor, the little side salad that they serve with it was so good. I piled that on my kimbap and it added to the depth of flavor. Spicy mayo was really good too. I will absolutely go back. Prices very reasonable. And the customer service amazing, sweet and polite and welcoming. A huge contrast to the bread and ink cafe across the street which is unbelievably rude.

Been wanting to try this place for a few months and I knew It would be amazing. Very generous portions, their entrees all come with lots of vegetables, everything's very fresh. this is the best bibimbap I've had in town. My partner got the bulgogi and it was one of the best he's had. Also
we got the fried mackerel appetizer, which we will definitely be getting again. Can't wait to go back to this place. You know a restaurant is good when you keep thinking about it a week after your first visit.

The price was good, but the kimbap wasn't all great.

Notable items: Tteokbokki
Reasonable prices?: Most are reasonable, although the $4 price difference for the Tteokbokki vs the cheese Tteokbokki raised some eyebrows.
Most worth: Tteokbokki (and probably the kimbap)
Overall opinion:
As a city Korean, I have pretty high standards for Korean food. While I can't speak for their kimbap (it's never been my favorite), a couple other dishes I had were less than optimal. We had the spicy pork, which I assume is supposed to be jeyook bokum (제육볶음) which tasted great at first bite but quickly became too salty. We also had an order of the squid jeon, which tasted more like a squid omelette, leaving a very strange textural experience in my mouth. I will say that the tteokbokki (떡볶이) was great. I could taste a little bit of ramen soup base in the sauce which in my opinion increased the depth of flavor.

Went in to order for to-go and took almost 20 minutes to receive my order. I had to go up to the front desk to ask for my order once I saw people that ordered after me were getting their order. Basically, it was already ready but it was just sitting on the counter.
I order two original Kimbap’s and one Bulgogi Kimbap. They tasted fine but fell apart super easily. Not the best Kimbap out here but the packaging was great!

We only got the micro greens and tuna kimbaps, but they were fresh and very tasty. Would like to go back and try some of the hot entrees.

Went here tonight, it was awesome! Food was flavorful and pretty, lots of care put into it. Kimchi 10/10. Chicken katsu 10/10. Strawberry lemonade 10/10. Well balanced, full of flavor without being overwhelming. Left full and happy.
