I was trying to go to Tomo Ramen next door, but they were slammed. I saw the sign for Mokdong and decided to give it a try. I ordered the gyoza, bacon kimbap, pork katsu, and mango hard tea. The food was so delicious that I only got a pic of my drink, and the portions were so generous that I had plenty of leftovers. All the dishes came with pickled veggies and dressed salads/ garnish. It might be the best pork katsu I’ve had in the city, and the employees were kind and attentive. Absolutely recommend, you may miss it by just walking by!

“A Korean Maestro’s Eatery That Perfectly Recreates the Authentic Taste of Kimbap”
Food: We ordered kimbap and tteokbokki, and honestly, it tasted exactly like it does back in Korea. No difference at all—just pure authenticity.
Service: Ordering is super easy with the kiosk, and the food was ready almost immediately after we placed the order.
Ambiance: A cozy, small spot with a warm and welcoming vibe.

Ok kimpa. I never remember the restaurant name. Waiting time for food was long and restaurant wasn’t full either. (I ordered take out)

Really cute restaurant with cafe like atmosphere and REALLY good kimbap. Probably the best kimbap I've had outside of Korea. My wife and I got the calamari, spicy pork, pork cuntlet, and fish cake.
We would recommend all of the kimbap but the pork cutlet was the standout and the calamari was my pick for a more creative addition. They were all well worth a try, plus the space itself was very cozy and the staff was welcoming!
I wish we lived in Portland as we'd be back regularly T.T, maybe they'll open a second location in Wisconsin!

I’m so happy to have found this place, I was craving comfort food and this hit the spot. I ordered takeout in-store (they have the option to order at the register or from a screen by the door, which I appreciate as an indecisive person) and got my food in 5 minutes. I requested tofu instead of fish cakes in the tteokbokki and they swapped it no problem. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The veggie gyoza were still crispy by the time I got home, and the tofu kimbap was absolute perfection. And check out the cheese pull, 10/10. I’m already dreaming about what I’ll order next time!

Excellent bibimbap
I ordered through DoorDash after finding this place is close to Matcha Premium Maiko. Good ratings and I now know why! Two bibimbaps to go: one was tofu and the other was spicy pork.
Spicy pork is not spicy but looks like it is. Good taste, so it’s marinated well and the meat isn’t tough to chew, like some other places. I loved the spicy pork bibimbap though. All fresh ingredients! They give a lot of vegetables, which is so nice, because other places are very sparing with their ingredients. I’m usually left with so much rice at the end. However, this place did a good job giving the right amount of ingredients. They also gave a small cup of miso soup - thank you! Would get this again!
My husband enjoyed his tofu version. If you’re someone who wants spice, add some of the red sauce they give you in a cup. I was very happy the spicy pork wasn’t spicy, but I liked being able to control any spice with the red sauce.
