I am new to this part of Portland but quickly felt right at home with the staff and a diverse crowd of locals I see there often. Very comfortable place to chill & have a drink.
A good neighborhood hang.
Great bar, not known for food so don’t expect it. Great service and a friendly neighborhood bar.

Montavilla Saloon has been a favorite spot for locals since 2003. With friendly staff, affordable and strong drinks, it's a top-level dive bar in the neighborhood. Known for their skilled bartenders, pool table, pinball, and special events, it's a low-key, funky hot spot. The focus is not on pleasing the ultra-hipster crowd, making it a great choice for those looking for a laid-back Portland dive bar experience.
The bar is dog-friendly and keeps treats behind the bar for four-legged customers. Customers can bring their own food from nearby restaurants like East Glisan Pizza and Secret Pizza Society. The bar has a great selection of booze and a fun, welcoming vibe with a diverse clientele. Customers praise the excellent service, well-priced drinks, and lack of gambling machines or jukeboxes, allowing the bartenders to play great music.
