Had a really good watermelon mojito. It was the special of the day

fun ass irish pub. i liked the crispiness of the fries a lot. pinball and poker and other fun stuff. plenty of outdoor and indoor seating

Average bar. Nothing special. Too many TVs.

Good music and chill
Bartender was a lame

Dropped by for a beer, thinking we would need to find a place to eat. But it turns out, their mac and cheese and garden salad are delicious!!! About as good as I could cook/prepare at home. And the service and ambience are top notch. Go check them out!

It's a good little bar to drop in drop out on Hawthorne

Always a stop on my visit to Hawthorne district. Great watering hole with excellent service and some kind of great story to be heard or told here.

(Never had the food here, so ignore that rating). This is just another inner SE bar, but a pleasant one. I used to drink and write here back in early 2013. It's a place to meet up with friends or co workers, to gaze across the crowded table at someone you've been crushing on for months, wondering what they feel for you. Sometimes they smile at you but you tell yourself it's nothing, not to make anything of it...until it's too late. Too many late nights alone, you recall those nights at Mulligans and wonder...
Anyway, solid place, meet your friends there and tip the wait staff cause they're just trying to get by in this crazy world...

Burger was excellent. They need waitresses. Had to wait in a long line to order then again to pay tab.

My husband and I were going on a date on Hawthorne and walked into Mulligan's for some bar food and drinks. I'm lactose intolerant and can't have eggs. I was interested in ordering a burger; however, I always have to ask if there is dairy and eggs in the buns. I asked the thin, young, brunette, probably 5' 3" female employee behind the bar if there is dairy and/or eggs in their buns. Her response was, " there probably are." She didn't go check or ask another employee to check either. It felt like she was saying don't ask me questions I don't know/ why would I know that. We immediately left since I can't risk getting sick from dairy and/or eggs. It's unfortunate since we would have bought dinner and drinks there if the service was better.
