β HAWAIIAN PLATE LUNCH / KOREAN BBQ ORGANIC JACKFRUIT ($15) β¨Reviewβ¨ This food cart serves a fun fusion of Hawaiian and Korean flavors! πΊπ°π· I ordered a plate with Korean BBQ Organic Jackfruit over rice, served with a side of mac salad. πβ¨ First of all, I loved the rice because it reminded me of Japanese rice (probably)! The jackfruit had an amazing texture, and the sweet and savory BBQ sauce was so good that I could have eaten rice with it forever. π€€π The mac salad was basically macaroni mixed with a mayo-style dressing. Honestly, it felt more like a carb side dish than a salad.π₯π It was tasty, but since the main dish was already pretty flavorful, I think I would personally prefer the cucumber salad and sesame spinach as my sides next time. Iβm also curious about the Aloha Plate, which comes with yakisoba and pineapple! ππ The food cart is located in a spot with several other food carts, making it a great place to explore different options. Thereβs also a stylish bar with a natural, laid-back vibe, plenty of seating, and covered areas, so itβs a great place to hang out even on rainy days. βπ³π»β Definitely recommend checking it out! ππ Updated from previous review on 2026-06-30
I don’t understand the hype. The food was subpar. Way too much sauce. The Mac salad is usually the best part of Hawaiian food and this one was very dry and non traditional. If that’s what you’re looking for, great! But not your typical Hawaiian place.

I got the spicy tofu Hawaiian plate. It was honestly surprisingly pleasant, especially considering it was the vegan version. Even though it was my first time having vegan Hawaiian food, I was not let down. The spicy tofu was the perfect level of spice. The Mac salad was also not overly tangy which I appreciated, and complimented the spicy tofu very well. The portion sizes are also large, with two scoops of Mac salad and many pieces of tofu on a bed of rice. Some other food trucks won’t give you your money’s worth of tofu when you order it, this place definitely does. I would definitely come back.

I had the vegan plate which came with rice, sauteed spinach, cucumber, and I chose the teriyaki tofu ($15). It was nice, the tofu was cooked well, it had good flavor. It wasn't super filling though. Updated from previous review on 2026-05-12

This cart is my go-to and it seems like portions of the protein (tofu) have gone down and the portion of noodles/rice have gone up while prices stay the same on the Spicy Tofu Plate. My spinach on my plate was also cold for some reason, not sure if it was frozen? And to top it off my plate was soaked through, possibly from the frozen spinach or pineapple juice. I had to wipe my table clean from all the liquid soaking through.
For the $16+tip I should be getting an appropriate portion of food. I may have to consider visiting the other carts in the same pod for my food options.

This is the best food in Portland, no contest. Damn, the bulgogi is so good. Generous portions, every bite is tender deliciousness and bursting with flavor.
Delicious! Great cart food pod; they even had live music at adjacent Benicar Beer Bar πΆ . Great vibe.

I just ordered $90 of food and was shorted the two different items on a vegetarian dish. I didnβt just want dried tofu and rice. Where was the spinach, pineapple, and noodles. The wait was super long, long enough I didnβt even have the patience to go back to the food cart and tell them.

During the dinner hour they did not have the ingredients to make things on their menu and they didn't notify anyone until I arrived to pick it up... I was mildly irritated the customer who ordered it.. they were Pissed and gave me an ear full. For something that was/is NOT in my control. I feel like the restaurant should have received that grief..not me

Wonderful food and great food cart seating. Food is delicious only docked a star because sometimes the employees forget to put the teriyaki sauce on the rice (has happened twice).
