I went to the restaurant at 4:30 pm on Sunday and asked for two cup of tea. They came back and said that we only can give one. First it surprised me but I said whatever. They then brought the leftover tea that they make for their lunch cuayomers. They charged the full price to me for a leftover tea. You can imagine how tea tasted :(

I stop at the food cart in Rockaway Beach every time I am around that area. I was stoked to find out they had a brick and mortar location right here in Portland. I ate the Lamb Wrap (medium spicy) and a Veggie Samosa. It tasted even better than the food cart. And the size of the wrap was big enough for two meals! The staff were pleasant, patient, helpful, and kind. I enjoy the laid back atmosphere of the restaurant and appreciate that their carry out option is so easy and hassle free. If you want delicious Indian food, you need to stop in.

Vegan options available: aloo mutter (my favorite), channa masala(my favorite), aloo channa, dahl tarka, aloo gobi, aloo saag, plain naan, vegetable samosa. I have a very sensitive dairy allergy and have never gotten sick ordering vegan here. Takeout only for dinner.
The food is very delicious and the lunch buffet is a great value. Unfortunately a quite rude person has started working there. We've come here for years and our Togo orders were always perfect. Today for the third time, this person took the phone order and completely screwed if up, giving us the wrong dishes. That wouldn't be so bad if she weren't so rude. Both on phone (she seems to barely want to take the call at all and when she takes the order you can tell she really could care less . . . ) and in person during the lunch buffet. It's too bad because the food is wonderful but we don't go here as much now because of her.

Worst customer service and food tastes disgusting definitely 0 star. Anything you ask them they cant help you with any service even for drinks. Overall bad experience.

We went for lunch today and it was really delicious! My husband got the combination lunch platter for like $14 and it was a very good deal. He got a lot of food. I got the doll makhani and really enjoyed it. It was very creamy and well cooked. Tons of vegetarian options and great service. Would definitely come back.

The. Best. Eat here. The service is exceptionally kind. Deeta, my usual server, has always been caring and attentive. The atmosphere is perfect during lunchtime when they have dine-in service. Also, their lunch special is perfect in all regards: affordable, delicious, and with big portions. Please see for yourself. I will always be coming back here. Thank you, New Taste of India. The two servers were exceptionally nice, and even gave not just me, but my girlfriend as well free mango lassi when they caught word it was my birthday! 10/10 would recommend, absolutely delicious.
