The service was great, the pizza, not so much. The dough was really unimpressive, the sauce was meh.

Oasis Cafe is the perfect option for a cheap lunch and a beer if you find yourself on Hawthorne, either passing through or shopping the thrift stores. Pizza is quality, two deals I heard of while there included a Thursday discount on Hawaiian Pizza and a combo of a pint of PBR and a Cheese Slice for $4.50! Stop by if you love pizza and beer for a good price!

This is a foot traffic pizza place on Hawthorne. They are absolutely fantastic. I used to live near here and we would get pizza from here the most often. I miss going here and having incredible pizza. The staff is friendly and nice, and it is a family owned business.

I love this place! The crust is buttery, the sauce is a perfect mixture of sweet and salty, and the toppings are fresh. They also have a gluten free crust option. Service is fast and friendly.

We ended up here our first night visiting Portland. Half of us got a slice and half a sandwich. I wish I knew the employees name; he was working alone and kicking a**. All five of us agreed it was the best pizza and sandwiches we have had. So delicious.

Long time customer. One of the few good things still on Hawthorne.

Quaint little place, nice place to stop in for a drink or snack or to study. Can't really give alot of hype for the food including the pizza. The beet salad was decent but nothing special. Staff was very friendly. If you dont see whatever pizza you want in the window, no worries, they'll get one out to you asap from the oven.

Pretty decent pizza with crispy bottom and crust, price is good, ranch made in house, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. They serve beer and some other alcohol, fountain soda, and bottled soda. A few arcade machines and lots of hot sauce.

I would love to give this pizza parler 5 stars. The food is always generous, the help is friendly, and it's a neighborhood hangout where you get a wide selection of who's who quality people watching. The only problem I have is the matronly looking woman who seems to have set up camp outside the store. She is such a nice person, and she is you know, always there with her sign of need held prominently out. I just have trouble going in there knowing that she is staked out there much of the time the store is open. I don't feel she adds near as much as what is taken away by her constant presence, like a statue, with a tip cup right outside the entrance. I know I sound ungenerous. But, Hawthorne needs to sustain a wider variety of role models and other differing types who navigate in and out of the fringes. Whereas she has commandeered that artists turf spot. It is a major intersection and if you try to play a guitar horn or a drum there, she quickly drives you off like a crow going after a baby squirrel. I won't go in there nearly as often because I feel the store defacto enables her to stand or sit outside like some predatory bird waiting for a meal. I know that she is such a fine individual and has the right to be there and is in need, but, the fact that she is there 7 days a week bugs me and I don't think I am the only one who feels that way.

Pretty empty on Sunday at 7pm, to be expected. Came in and grabbed a slice of pepperoni for $3.85. Pizza was decent but nothing special. Thought it could be a little cheaper for what you got. I was hungry though and it did the job. Super friendly staff though.

Had great service here. Cashier and cook were very friendly and made our order just the way we want it. This is our go to place for Gluten free slices in Portland! We will be back

Came for lunch, was told that slices were just out of oven. False, slice was barely warm, only from being under a heat lamp. Tasted as if slices had been sitting around for a few hours. Hot sauces were crusty on the caps. Yucky. Disappointed.

Ordered a couple of slices, not impressed. I've had better pizza in Vancouver. Just because it's on Hawthorne doesn't mean it's good.

The bottled Herbert's Lemonade was the best s*** I've had in a while, and I praise Oasis Cafe for supplying it. Not sure how the food was, cuz I didn't get any. Wasn't that hungry. The best part was obviously the workers. Normally I don't think too much about the females, but there was one girl there with pigtails and she was pretty cute. The guy in the kitchen was really banging. He was totally artsy and had his hair pulled back into a bun. You could just tell he listened to bands like Weezer and stuff. Probably also The Zombies, and maybe a bit of art rap.
