The restaurant really feels like in Germany and the food is pretty authentic.

We stumbled upon Otto and Anita’s and were amazed at the great food, service and the extensive menu. We will absolutely go back to try other dishes. Apple strudel to go.

This is the place for every type of schnitzel! I'd endorse the schnitzel sandwich and the blackened salmon salad. Definitely try a cup of the dill pickle soup!

I got the riesenschnitzel. It was delicious.

Anita does all the baking here and she's amazing, so make sure to save room for dessert, or take something home with you. I got the black forest cake, but sadly forgot to take a picture of it.

Was born in Germany, parents were German, all my relatives are still there. Ate a lot of German food over the years, though much less these days due to moms age and many fewer German restaurants around. Otto and Anita's was a super pleasant and jaw dropping surprise for me. Excellent southern German food and fabulous homemade desserts along with a nice selection of some good Deutsche brews. The servers, Otto and Anita's daughter Lisa, and Lisa's daughter were the perfect complement to the experience. No doubt I will be visiting this establishment with my family anytime we are in Portland!

My first visit was this last weekend. There are not many options for German cuisine in the area, but even if there were, this would probably still be the best option. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced. Our server was the best I have seen in years (and we dine out often). My only regret is I don't live closer. Can't wait to go again

Otto & Anita's lives up to its billing. After a long time on my must-go list, it's now on my must-go-back list. The food, atmosphere, and service combine for a warm and authentic experience (as evidenced by the many regulars). Lisa was friendly and attentive, despite staffing the dining room on her own. The dill pickle soup is as oddly wonderful as I was told, and the wienerschnitzel sandwich was delicious and perfectly fried. A hearty, tasty lunch for $15? Sold.
