Everything about this restaurant is homely and inviting. I love that the plates aren't gargantuan sized. They feel like a nice home cooked meal and you really don't need a takeout box. The service is fast and friendly, though we showed up right at 11AM to ensure we had seating! Food was delicious, and the dessert was good. If you plan to buy any pastries, do so before you sit! Food was absolutely delicious! The vegetables, schnitzel, and spatzel are all cooked to perfection.
Service is on the slower side, but that’s to be expected with two people running the restaurant. And it’s wholly made up for by Anita’s attention to detail and great demeanor. The food is definitely worth the wait, though.

Best authentic German food I've had since living in Alexandria/D.C. and the waitress convinced me to get the German chocolate cake; get it. Definitely making this place a new home for myself.
