I arrived in Portland on Valentine’s Day with no reservations or plans. Palomar’s bartenders ended being the new lives of my life. Along with the food. It was incredible. Do not skip on the tuna tostada. Just order it while reading this review.
Great food, great staff, and the cocktails are above and beyond! Only loses a star because nowhere do they tell you they charge 20% gratuity on the bill, then ask for more. I'm not cheap and most always tip 20% but it was a surprise.
I've been here a few times, and the food always comes out quickly, with consistently good service. The atmosphere is fun, and the food quality has been reliably good. However, the seafood platter feels a bit overpriced for what you get...UPDATE....We visited the newer NW location and had a completely different experience.
