Cute and tasty, open late. Very nice.
A little over priced, but it's worth it if you are craving Cuban food

I rarely eat at non-vegan restaurants but when I do it’s Pambiche! They have a handful marked vegan options that I am obsessed with. And this place has great customer service which is definitely not something you can get everywhere in Portland. You feel welcomed and the place has a great vibe.
We've visited Pambiche the person sitting people missed us and sat other large group who were there after us and another couple but the couple in front of us let them know that, and I assume that's why they have a sign-in sheet but maybe she missed it. The food was a bit disappointing no flavor. Service in the other hand the male server was great, and apologized for the delayed, we were ready to walk out and go across to the food carts instead because our food took over an hour and I was so hungry. But the server was great and we ended up getting our food. Sad experience this time with our food.

The service, drinks and atmosphere at Pambiche were good but the food was disappointing. I ordered Arroz con Pollo which is one of my favorite dishes in latin & cuban restaurants. Unfortunately, while the plate had enough food quantity, the flavor was rather unpleasant. Their mariquitas were hard on the teeth and did not taste fresh. I could not eat them because I was afraid of needing dental work afterwards. The highlight of my dinner was the mojito, which was not the reason I visited. I will be avoiding this restaurant mainly because of the food and will advise my friends to avoid unless they just want drinks.
Vegetarian options: Clearly labeled vegan and vegetarian options but they are limited

I loved this place for years. I stopped going during COVID and recently came back.
Pambiche stopped making Yucca fries. I didn't realize it before, but this was a HUGE deal for me. I used to get the plato Cubano with yucca fries and it was SOOO good.
Now... without the fries, the whole plate seemed uninspired. I don't think I would go back to Pambiche again.

I would go back to try bowls, I am a huge empanada girl but found them slightly lacking here. It may be because I didn't love love the hot sauce - it wasn't spicy enough for me.
I would reorder the tres leches for sure and would try some more bowls and salads.
--- drink ---
Taramid with chamomile tea ⭐⭐⭐
- makes your mouth dry
- really interesting and worth a try, just wouldn't reorder it because it doesn't quench your thirst so much
--- food ---
Maiz con pollo ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨
- liked this the most
- wish I had a spicier sauce to go with it, It was a little dry otherwise
- my main issue was there wasn't a ton of stuffing but also I didn't order the double stuffed one, so that's on me
Papa con queso ⭐⭐⭐
- tasted a little like paneer
- didn't taste the potatoes
- wouldn't reorder, not worth unless you're vegetarian
Bacanes de res ⭐⭐⭐⭐
- needed more stuffing for me
- more flavorful
Banana bowl ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
- it's what you'd expect but really fresh and almost juicy
- made me realize I shouldn't have been ordering empanadas
Avocado salad ⭐⭐⭐✨
- this is a side for sure
- it can't be eaten by itself
- wanted this with some beef
- we loved the sauce that looked at the bottom
Tres leches ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
- I loved the coffee one but I think the move is the order the regular one
- super moist, was perfect.

Nice family run Cuban restaurant. The plates are probably the better choice here. Save room for dessert
