My man! Best cheese steak i’ve had in portland didn’t know they even offered authentic cheese steaks. I’m from nj and this was one of the best cheese steaks i’ve ever had. The owner gave my fam free mac n cheese salad and just really hooked it up. I would recommend coming here if you want good authentic new york/philly food. ?

Ok, so it’s a bit far from my house. As an *extremely* picky eater I was worried about not being able to mod my sandwich but I went with it. NO MODS NEEDED. Like there’s a reason they don’t do it. It’s literal perfection. I genuinely think this may be the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. I will be ordering again tonight for the second time in a row. A brief passing glimpse of a “Jawns” sign glowing in the night led us to this joint. We ordered the moment they opened the next day. My husband is from Philly and we lived there for years. We have tried pretty much every “touted” cheesesteak in Portland with varying levels of disappointment. Until now. THIS IS IT. Just bread, onion, meat, and cheese in some age-old, who-knows-what, you-know-it-when-you-taste-it alchemy of flavor that IS a Philly cheesesteak. Thank you...
