Good breakfast burrito. It is very strange atmosphere.

This is how good vegan spots used to be "back in my day" and while there's great newer restaurants and food trends copying each other, it's refreshing and delicious to come here for a change of pace

Nice little vegan breakfast joint that accommodates my family, many of which have dietary restrictions.
Pretty hefty portions and the staff is always friendly.

I recommend the waffle (gluten free!) and their Arnold Palmer.

For the love of all Canadian?? the poutien was so unsatisfying crinkle cut fries with some sort of weird gravy i know there are better gravy recipes out there! The most upsetting thing was the Vegan Kraft singles melted on top ? I felt like I was back in school.

The server (Ian) had a notably calm, kind, welcoming energy. I ordered the avocado benedict, which was delicious. Oddly, my portion size was significantly smaller than another customer’s – someone even noticed this when I posted in the Portland Vegans group, saying Paradox's portion size must have shrunk significantly. No matter, I was full when I left, with just enough room in my belly for a tasty treat from the Shoofly bakery. There’s never enough time to eat all the amazing vegan things in Portland! I’ll go back to the Paradox Café next time I’m in town.

Vegetarian options: It's all vegan, unless you choose to add egg.

Dietary restrictions: It's all vegan, unless you choose to add egg.

Been coming here for long time and it's still perfect! Old school punk and new wave music coming out the tempeh cavern very comforting. They have a housemade ardvarks sauce that flows freely out da tap!

I’m partial to any restaurant with seating at the counter. The coffee is classic diner coffee with a bottomless cup, the food portions are ridiculously large, and service is usually quite good. Presentation is pretty good depending on what you order, but you’ll be digging into your meal as soon as the plate is handed to you. Eclectic interior.

Best vegan French Toast ever! We tried to find another place that even compared and failed! Just go get it several days in a row - it's worth it :D The joy of bringing a vegan friend to choose whatever they want is priceless!

I usually don't post bad reviews, but the bowl was awful and the service could have been better. Their other options could be better, but I don't think I can go back after tasting the bowl.

Omg, I absolutely love Paradox! Paradox is one of the best vegan breakfast spots I have ever been to!

We were in from out of town and decided to go here for breakfast and I am so glad that we did. The service was great and the vibe was very classic diner and hipster vibe.

The food was delicious. I had the biscuits and gravy, bacon, eggs, sausage patties, and it was all incredible! I am vegetarian so I had real eggs and not plant based eggs. I could not even tell the food was vegan. The food came out piping hot and delicious. It had a very savory and flavorful taste. I will say on the weekends it can get very busy, but we were glad to have snagged a seat.

I highly recommend Paradox cafe for a delicious breakfast or brunch! Next time we are in town, we will definitely be coming back!
