Absolutely delicious vegan pho. Be aware the large is very large. Lots of tofu, veggies, shiitake, etc. The banh xeo chay is vegan without the fish sauce on the side. Also delicious!
Pho Korner! We’ve been going here for years so I haven’t thought about reviewing until today. In a town filled with great Pho options Pho Corner is our favorite. One thing that separates them is they grill the chicken / cook the meat differently. It’s so much better than boiled chicken at other places. The service is always wonderful. They’re really fast with food orders. Today my wife ordered Pho Ga and I ordered Beef Fried Rice. With an appetizer of PorK Pot Stickers.
Authentic, but what does that mean? For me it has to remind me of 90's Houston, TX -- barely 2 decades after the fall of Saigon and a major hub of Vietnamese American immigration. This was the place to get food as close to the old country as possible and if you are old school you will know the following meal: catfish braised in a caramelized sauce inside a clay pot accompanied by a savory-sour soup with flavors of tamarind, garlic, and chilis and loaded with veggies.
