Ping

Southeast Asia comfort food! For lunch today we tried the Dragon Dumplings and the Laksa. The flavors and spices reminded us of some favorite foods in that part of the world. Ping served thousands of dumplings this week, Dumpling Week in Portland. The dumplings were served with small string beans and a dark spicy bean sauce. I normally do not give a first review as a 5 star, but these are not ordinary times. We ordered from here because of dumpling week. Glad we did. We ordered online through Clover. The site was easy to work with. The food was getting packed up when I arrived, so my wait was minimal. The food was nicely packaged and came with warming instructions, if needed. We did not. I ordered through Caviar for these and the food was absolutely tasty. I would order the Kuaythiaw again for sure. The fresh noodles were a wonderful texture and the duck was very tender. The hiccup was that there were important things missing from my order. I had to have these items redelivered. They are a new restaurant so I only took off one star but it was disappointing to wait for things that should not have been forgotten like the broth for my noodles.
