Burgers were good, tots were great. Didnβt live the atmosphere but Iβm sure it appeals to some people. Worth the $. Bun could have been warmed up though, it was a little cold.

We visited here recently on a trip to Portland and it was well worth the visit. The burgers, myself and the family ordered was lovely and tender, so they ended up just melting in your mouth. We ordered a large portion of fries and that was enough to feed 3 of us. If you are in the area, and you like burgers, its worth dropping in.

Visited Portland Burger yesterday and had a mixed experience. Vibes are super cool, staff was nice, food was very average compared to what was expected from reviews. The interior is really cool and inviting, and while the staff was nice, our food was brought to us and the cashier who took our order had no clue what he was handing us. He literally said I do not know what you ordered or what I have, and we had to open the buns ourselves and check our 3 different meals to make sure we got our correct food. Burgers were average at best, none of us finished because the bun to burger ratio is way off. The bun is double the size of the meat inside the burger, fries were top notch though. Kind of a bummer because we expected a great lunch and left underwhelmed.

Fast service. Menu is awesome!! Had a Butterfinger Milkshake and the Brickhouse burger.
The burger itself: buns were not warm or hot. Tiny bit cold. The beef patty is super juicy, which I love. However, having the House Sauce on the bottom bun with diced onions then that patty on top really made the bottom bun soggy.
Followed by Smoked brisket on top (very tasty), crispy onion (also tasty), Texas Sweet-slaw was nice and chunky, melty jack-cheese, crunchy onion-ring and BBQ sauce really made it delicious but again, soggy bun quickly turned this into a mess fast. After 2 bites, its falling apart on me. Things sliding right off. That's why it looses a star.
Maybe the buns need to be warm and toasted to catch all the melty, juicy goodness that you hold in your hands.
We had great service though, everyone was friendly and knowledgeable! They clear and bus your tables here.
