Our son's wedding planner recommended this caterer. The wedding was at the Griffin House in Hood River and the staff were amazing! They offer the option for the family to provide the wine and beer and they offered to take it up with them as long as we dropped it off the day before the wedding; there was a small fee, but what a huge relief! The food was amazing and we had plenty for everyone and they packaged the leftovers for the family. Do not hesitate to work with this great catering company!

Portland Catering was fantastic! Katie was super responsive and knowledgable. A huge bonus of this catering company is that if you are providing your own beer, wine, or hard alcohol they will serve it for you without you having to hire a separate bartending company. The food was fantastic! We did our tasting and chose the salmon and steak. We did buffet, but they also have a plated option. In addition to our entrees we had salad, roasted potatoes, and roasted veggies. Everything was delicious and warm. They also cut our cake for us too. our appetizers were crab cakes and chicken quesadillas, both were fabulous. I would 100% hire Portland Catering Company again.

We have mixed emotions about how we feel about this company. We hired them to cater our wedding, and hired the bar service as well. Katie, the sales associate we were in communication with the whole time, was amazing and really helped figure out a great option for our budget. The food was amazing and we got so many compliments from the guests. However on the day of the wedding, the service staff forgot our napkins and ice, so we had to send someone from the wedding party to go find ice and napkins in the middle of us trying to get ready, because no one from the staff would go for us. We had several complaints about the bar staff being very rude to our guests. My husband and I purchased our own alcohol, but hired the bar staff to serve it for us. They watered down all of the drinks, and wouldn't let the wedding party do a post ceremony shot. (we have insurance on top of the olcc certified staff). My husband was gifted a flask and asked the bartender to fill it up with some rum so he didn't have to keep going back to refill, but the bartender refused, And tried to take the flask from him. We didn't understand why they kept refusing service. They also drove a van through the lot right when we're were getting ready to walk for the ceremony. Like I said, the food was great and had great customer service from Katie, but the day of staff were very rude and caused unneeded stress on us.

Our only constructive criticism is that we felt our advance contact at the company did not handle the logistics well. We had our wedding anniversary party catered through PCC and it was delicious!! We had a pasta bar, two passed apps, and a bar and it was all amazing; our guests thought so too. We got Married on 8/8/21 at Maysara Winery in McMinnville Oregon. My husband and I did extensive research for vendors. Excellent food was one thing we wanted our focus to be on. We came across PCC, and not only are easy to work with, they are reliable, and communicative. They answers all of our questions and concerns.We previously lost a vendor due to Covid, so we were really worried booking anyone else. They addressed our concerns and made us feel confident. They were reliable and it was a very straight forward process with them. We went for a food tasting (my personal favorite wedding activity) and it was incredibly hard to pick what we wanted since it was all amazing food, and very diverse. They have their signature dishes but can easily custom create a menu as well which was also important to us.They can do a formal 6 course seated dinner, or something more casual and everything in between. We decided to have plated salads, and then a buffet. Our guests still tell us how great the food was and how perfectly cooked it was as well. If you are getting married in the area, and want people who will work hard, communicate well and create amazing food..I advise you give them a call! PCC, thank you for making our day perfect! :)

From the start, Katie was so easy to work with and always quick to respond to any of our questions. We initially thought we only needed waitstaff for our cocktail hour but she recommended having them for a few hours and that was a life saver!!!Holly and the other caterers went above and beyond to make sure all of our guests had an amazing experience. They even went out of their way to make sure the wedding party had appetizers outside while taking pictures and packed the cutest bag for my husband and I to enjoy the next day! They helped with cutting the cake and ensuring all sliced pieces were placed perfectly on our dessert table. Also, all of the food was DELICIOUS and our guests couldn't stop talking about it!I cannot rave enough about Portland Catering Company.... food and service were both AMAZING!
