For a spot downtown facing the max, this place is just wow. Broken facilities & equipment, tasteless sauce and broth, the meat and veggie bar is minimal, all for it to be overpriced. An unused fountain, an eloquent chandelier that's blocked by the lower ceilings, an empty restaurant with no feeling or music. The staff was alright for the most part but nothing special. Worst buffet by far in Portland, go anywhere else!

If you come to mainland China, just don’t come here. The food hurts your eyes and it’s hard to imagine that this can be a restaurant... The west is really a food desert. I will never complain about nyc/NJ again. It’s hard to say enough. The boss is very nice

March 2024:(1 star still). Have not been back since my last visit and I have been happy going elsewhere! I am definitely not alone as many other reviews with people getting overcharged and prices not being up front. Its so sad because I used to recommend this place to so many people! I go elsewhere when I need to eat downtown now.May 2023 (1 star) : We got overcharged by ~$13 because it was not clear icecream and soup were not included in the meals. If I had known this, and the very overpriced amount their not so great icecream was, I would not have chose to get this and only get what was included in the now Dinner price of $19.99. I did not have a problem with dinner pricing, but nowhere on the soup or icecream did it have an additional price tag and it was always included in the meal before. It was a bad way to end our beautiful holiday by getting over charged for this unexpectedly. We did not get an itemized receipt that even explained clearly why we were charged the additional amount. It was all confusing. I have been a longtime customer here, so I am sad to see how much customer service and sketchy and unclear pricing has changed one of my favorite Portland Resturants. It was my first time bringing family to this location and I was so excited but I ended up very embarrassed with how much it has went downhill over the last year. When asking about it to the owner, she just said they have to charge more now since they are not doing good as a small buisness in Portland, which I understand, but also I can see why they are needing to raise prices due to the experience I just had AND it was not told to us or labeled on those items they were additional. I have decided I will not be returning to this location. I can no longer recommend this resturant to others due to this experience.April 2022 (5 stars): Great food and friendly atmosphere. They always cook the food to perfection. Relaxing environment. Would recommend trying at least once to see if you like it!lunch is 14.99 (April 2022 grill)Dinner is 18.99(April 2022 grill)

Both the cook & hosts were rude. First thing she says no more all you can eat only 2 bowls. So we got our 2 bowls. The cook mixed my wife and my food while cookingOn the open grill which wouldn’t be a problem except I got fish and made mine spicy both of which she does not like. He also did not smile and looked as if he hated his life and job. My wife & I both felt very unwelcomed. To top it off we saw another customer get a to go box. Since we didn’t want to waste our leftovers we asked for a box and she brought a small box for both of us to share way smaller than the box we saw the gentleman before us get.l and not big enough for all our leftovers together. Very disappointed with this place and do not recommend the it to anyone. Will definitely be going to Changs Mongolian Grill next time we want this type of food which is always awesome!

Very rude service.ixed food together with others making mine spicy and unable to eat due to the spice and seafood. Felt very unwelcomed. Got a lecture for asking for a to go box and she said we need to make healthy choices. But I did however due to the cook mixing the food up I could not eat mine and didn't want to waste it! We won't be coming back!

Our favorite Mongolian grill! The food is always delicious. Very well-maintained - fresh food, clean counters, hand sanitizer strategically placed at the beginning and end of the self-serve area. Friendly and attentive staff.

We arrived at 5pm on a Monday and the restaurant was pretty much empty. The food was alright. We paid $20 per person, but if you want a third bowl it's an extra $5. It seemed to expensive for what it was.

It's been a while since I've been here. We came for lunch, but after the lunch rush so there weren't many people left. They have two options - Mongolian Grill or Hot Pot. We initially wanted the hot pot, but we didn't think we would have enough time to enjoy it, so we opted for the Mongolian grill. There was your standard selection of meats and veggies to choose from. Since it was only us, our food came out pretty quick. The host was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.
