My favorite neighborhood wine bar! Matt, Angie, and Jess are amazing people who know and love wine! My family loves coming here because it always feels welcoming and the wine is just perfect. “Garageland” and “A Frayed Knot” are my favorites. They are the wine makers who taught me to LOVE white wine. Their Riesling is truly something special.

Southeast Portland's hidden gem! Absolutely delicious wines, friendly staff, and a great vibe - both the lovely outside "wine window" tables but comfy seats inside too. Such a great neighborhood spot.

Amazing experience sampling local wines! We went there close to 7 so there wasn’t food available but wine flight was wonderful

Great hidden gem in SE Portland. It's close to a busy street and I've passed by it at least weekly since it opened in 2019 but thankfully we decided to check it out.The inside is very nicely decorated and the staff are very friendl and accommodating. The weather was unseasonably nice for mid-October so we sat outside at one of their many picnic tables. Despite being close to a busy street, the seating area was quiet and whoever does their garden boxes knows what they're doing. Just lovely. There's a good assortment of wines to try and the person at the counter was very helpful in walking us through them. I will definitely be back.

Awesome! What an experience! Great wine, personable staff who are VERY accommodating. The barrel room is so clever. They hosted us for a private tasting for a birthday and I could not recommend it high enough. Fantastic!

Fantastic Pinot and a beautiful dry Riesling. The tasting room is inviting with tasteful decor. Bring your friends. You won’t be disappointed. We went during Covid and they are following all the protocols. Inside & outside seating.

Delicious wine with indoor/outdoor seating. They have a great wine list with flights and bottles to go for great prices!

Great and interesting wines, knowledgeable staff. Chill vibe. They support important causes, so visit them!
What a great local, urban winery. Their wine tasting room is really nice...and roomy. And the outdoor picnic tables are a plus on a nice day. Super attentive staff. And, the new back barrel area for private tasting for groups is really a stellar addition. The wines are fantastic - my favorite is the Love & Squalor Gamay and the Jackalope Viognier! Having two wine makers under one roof allows people to try different wines! Can't wait to go back.

I freakin' love this place. I was a bit concerned about COVID wine tasting, but the folks here were super welcoming, professional, and made us feel safe. But perhaps most important, the wines!!! Oh the wines!!! Delicious, clean, classic Oregon yet playful. Our host Marty was hilarious and knowledgeable, we suspected he was the winemaker but were having too much fun and didn't ask. We can't wait to go back for the wine, the patio, and the great service.

When browsing the neighborhood on Google Maps, this building was identified with the label of a winemaker who apparently shares some space here, but is not the primary tenant. Love & Squalor is the main event here, and it is well worth seeking out! I've tasted wine at a lot of places, but this spot does everything well that I've come to hope for - comfort, design, welcoming atmosphere, and thankfully, terrific wine. The whites that we sampled were delightfully dry while being very distinct from each other. We also had two pinot noirs, one made with the grapes from a single vineyard, and the other from multiple sources. Both were much more flavorful than some Oregon pinots can be. Getting to talk with a friendly, knowledgeable winemaker is always a treat. Hopefully Google will get their act together and properly identify this location by either the true name (Portland Wine Company), or by Love & Squalor...

I cannot sing the praises of Love & Squalor enough. Not only is their wine top-notch, but also, they go ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure customer satisfaction. The owner, Matt Berson, has completely impressed me with his patience, responsiveness and expertise. My experience with Love & Squalor has reminded me of the benefits of buying local-- the attention to detail and personalized experience is second to none.

I first had this wine at a farm to table event and wasn't sure if it was the experience or really good wine. After trying out this location... It's just incredibly good wine.
