I known the Portway Tavern through all of its owners: in fact I worked for the original three. And the Portway of today is still a neighborhood bar. It has a friendly, cozy, welcoming atmosphere, a beer garden if you prefer outside, some video games, sports tv, and friendly bartenders. It's clean, and there are windows to look out of. Great dive bar! Get a glass of whiskey and a beer back lol. No smoking on patio, a real food menu and better draft beer selection would give it 5 stars. Outside of that, friendly regulars, great bar tenders and everything you want from a dive!
This is a great neighborhood bar. I especially like the area out back where you can just chill under the really nice trees. Drink prices are very reasonable and the staff is very nice.
