I think an underrated gem. Cute little bar near Powells with great bartenders, good drink deals, and solid pizza slices. Can be slow at times, but a nice place to start the evening or grab a couple of drinks and then totter over to Powells to peruse some literature.
Easily the most underrated bar in Portland. This place has the best bartenders in town. Kin and Amy have made some of the best cocktails I’ve treated myself to and they’re so knowledgeable.
Even better that they’re partnered with or owned by sizzle pie next door so you can get a nice slice of pizza or garlic knots to enjoy too.

I was making my occasional trip to Portland and dropped way too much money on books and vinyl downtown. We needed a slice and some booze. I hadn't been in Sizzle for years, but the punk rock lured me in. Good pizza, great soundtrack. Friendly atmosphere.
