I got the Cran Deluxe and my partner got the Wedgewich with the pea salad. The subs are the size of your face. They’re crispy and fresh and so so so flavorful. Cute location, great selection and friendly staff. Would come back again!
Get the meatball sub. The tomato sauce, the pesto, the meatballs and cheese… What an incredible combination. It's not on the menu year-round, but do not miss this sandwich.
I had the Cran Deluxe sub and it was so, so good! I also had a side of pea salad, a cookie, and some kettle chips! It made two hearty meals for me. Next time I’m in the mood for a good sandwich, I will know where to go!
I had the Steak & Shroom Hoagie today and was very impressed. Something that stood out was this sandwich's high-quality ingredients and flavor layers. The grilled balsamic mushrooms, grilled onions, seitan slices, and vegan cheese are complimented with the perfect amount of fresh arugula, peppers, a touch of horseradish, and a rich yet wonderful pepita spread. It's one of those meals that stops you and forces you to enjoy each bite's unique flavor combinations and wonder about each ingredient's flavor profile. I love that the sandwich was well-balanced in that there wasn't too much of a single ingredient that might otherwise overpower the other flavors. The sandwiches are also well constructed in the sense that they don't fall apart at all and are easy to eat. The restaurant is small but very clean, it was easy to park near, and the staff seemed friendly. The restaurant seemed to have happy vibes and a playful character to it. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
These are the best vegan subs I've had in Portland. They get as close to a perfect old-school deli sub as possible, and you know why? They don't stuff their subs full of fake meat. Please don't increase the ratio of meat by 10%! The subs would start going the way of eating play-doh, like so many vegan sandwiches do.
The baked potato soup is also outstanding.
The world is in need of more vegan sandwich shops. Thank you for doing the good work! I had a Miracle Legion and the flavors were fantastic. Great bread too. I’d say 10% more meat slices and you’d have a 10/10 but I gotta give it a 9 for being just a bit light on filling

Excellent subs! Got the classic and the Sunbeam. The specials looked great and breakfast sounds amazing too. Classic fresh subs on great bread.

First time here and the Gladstone sub was amazing. It actually did taste like magic. There was pear juice and blue cheese paired with everything else and it was delicious. Looking forward to returning soon!

Their sandwiches are loaded! Inventive and classic flavors. Not a ton of indoor space for dining, and grabbed my sandwich to go, but the atmosphere of the shop was inviting and the staff super friendly. They carry Camellia kombucha, too, which is so good! 🤌🏻

Such a cute space with friendly and fantastic folks serving the best vegan subs in town. Everything is so fresh and well made, and they obviously really care about their customers. Highly recommend for any vegan looking for a cold-cut sando fix. Also, ALWAYS get their soup, no matter the variety.

I’m disappointed to report that Rad Magic Subs’s World Vegan Month item is a rather mediocre dry and bland fried tofu sandwich (I didn’t taste the pear at all) that is extremely overpriced at $16. Their seasonal meatball sandwich is equally overpriced, but the meatballs are quite nice and filling, so you won’t be left hungry. The free salsa is not spicy at all, the potato salad is alright, and the bacon-wrapped dates are good. Everyone was nice and welcoming, and the space is clean and cozy.
But I took a star off because this is yet another one of those places that default to 20% tip at the time of payment (before they provide any goods or services at all), which is just another way of guilt-tripping customers into subsidizing payroll instead of paying a living wage. (Other places like Kachka is far more honest about this, and charge a mandatory 22% service fee instead—nice and simple.)

So tasty!!! Not much of a deli sandwich person so I wasn’t sure, but it was so delicious! We got the sunbeam and the rad magic and I can’t decide which I liked better. The veggies in all were very crisp and the ingredients were both creative and meshed well together. Plus the sandwiches were huge, very much worth the price. Nice tunes and overall a cozy spot for a rainy afternoon.
