One of the best burgers I’ve ever had in my life. Period.
I went here with an impromptu, large-ish group that just kept growing and not only were they able to accommodate us, but our server, Mona, was so lovely and attentive. They had interesting dishes that I'd never seem before, like Sweet Potato Brulee, that were unique and tasty.

Recess Restaurant and Bar serves tasty food and drinks in a chill atmosphere. The menu is simple but top notch, with fresh Pasta and delicious burgers. The Portland Dining week prix fixe menu, including artichoke dip, confit chicken, and meringue dessert, is very tasty. The Shakshuka is a good mix of veggies and spices. The service is wonderful, with friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant offers great drinks, including those crafted by the bartender, and delightful tots. Overall, Recess Restaurant and Bar provides a fantastic experience with excellent service.
