I don't recommend Reverends' BBQ because I just discovered it after all these years and I don't want it to be too crowded when I start taking my dad there on a regular basis.
Found this place today& it’s the best I’ve had in 30yrs of living in Portland…

Reverend's BBQ provides a delightful dining experience with its fantastic ribs, brisket, and other BBQ specialties. The BBQ plates are superb, and the sandwich menu features standouts like the Good Reverend Burger and Fried Chicken Sando. Customers enjoy sitting outside and appreciate the friendly, efficient staff. The restaurant also has a well-curated tap list and other drink options, making it a must-visit for BBQ enthusiasts.
Recent reviews highlight the pork ribs as a standout, with many praising the brisket and sides like mashed potatoes and mac n cheese. While some customers found the brisket too salty, they enjoyed the dry rubbed ribs as a tasty alternative. The deviled eggs have also received positive remarks, and the service has been noted as exceptional, with staff members going out of their way to ensure a pleasant experience.
Despite minor issues such as the absence of homemade tea and lemonade, Reverend's BBQ remains a gem in the local culinary scene. The restaurant's commitment to quality is clear, with BBQ done right and served with a smile. The Banana Pudding is a must-try dessert, and the overall dining experience leaves customers satisfied and eager to return.
