Safe, good food, drink and happy hour!
My longest running bar for happy hour by far. Food is great service is good, patio is perfect when the weather breaks!
Went during the day on a Friday with my wife. The drinks and atmosphere were awesome. Hadn't been here before so I didn't know what to expect. The time we went was perfect because it wasn't crowded yet. I also have to mention the music playing was absolutely the best.
First time here, I guess the live performances were over an hour or two late, I wasnt expecting that. Towards the end if the night thr bartender was super pushy about me signing my slip (it was 1:30am so I get it but I hate feeling rushed)
Cool atmosphere inside and out. No gold stars on staff/quiet, no character. Decent drinks. Good reasonably priced food. Would go back.
Food was interesting. BLT us good, French dip is quite ordinary with deli beef. Service was beyond poor as the waitress walked past 4 times and left us sitting. Finally ordered from the bar. She dropped the drinks off and never asked for food order. A real drift head. Drinks were below average.. Not sure how they made a Manhattan, but not quite there. Great vibe, loved the ping pong... But come on, get your act together. Make this place special, not another want to be.
I came here on a Saturday night with a group of 15 people. We originallyy had plans to go to punch bowl social but weren't allowed in there due to our group size so we were frantically searching for a place to accommodate our big group. We arrived at 8 pm and it wasn't busy at all. They have a large patio with lots of seating which is where we sat. They have a fire going outside to keep warm during the colder days. They have two bars - one inside and one outside. They have a ping pong table outside. They have a lot of selection for drinks and their food is good too. They service is amazing and their staff were friendly. They checked in on our group often when we were there. It was really loud so it's kind of hard to talk. But my group and I really enjoyed this place. Best place for groups of people!
I had such a wonderful time there. This place is very classy and the people are so cool there. And guys.... Gotta tell ya... The ladies are incredibly gorgeous there. This place is first class all the way. A+
A staple bar when going out, Rontom's is an interesting bar due to it's layout and atmosphere. It's one big open room with couch-like seating around the edges and couches / tables in the center. I've never had a bad experience here and the drinks are always tasty. There is also a very big outdoor section which is especially great in the summer.
Happy hour food was excellent and generous. The steak on the kale salad was particularly good, perfectly cooked on the rare side. Interior is pretty stark, mid-century furniture, rather dark late on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Sitting by the fire made it cozy. We'll be back.
I've been here a dozen times and always had a good experience but wanted to leave a review after my experience last night (Fri 12/22). I stopped in to kill an hour or two while I was waiting for a couple of friends and sat at the bar by myself to check out the free music (Sunday night is Free Show night for those not in the know) and the service was just awesome. I was helped by Erica and Brett who were both really sweet and went above and beyond, they were dealing with a large group of drunk and rude people who had been cut off and were not taking it well but they handled it with patience and grace, and they still managed to give good service to everyone else at or around the bar. I've always enjoyed myself here, drinks are good, food is great, music is usually excellent, but this was the most personal time I've been and it was important to give credit where credit is due.
