Conveniently built into the Shun Fat Market. A small shop with a couple seats but nothing aesthetically to look at, dingy for lack of cleaning and upkeep management. Service was so-so. When asking for recommendations the response was a plain faced IDK :/ Be sure to ask for half sweet for the drink to be somewhat balanced otherwise the flavors will get lost.

I've been here at least 3 times and what I enjoy about it is that the boba is consistent. I don't love that they rely on things like non dairy creamer, but that seems to be the standard at most places. The rating is for the texture and taste of the boba, which is perfectly cooked and doesn't have the overly chewy taste when you can tell it's been sitting in water all day. Plus, their staff is friendly and the cost is what I expect for boba. I do wish they were able to make more modifications for their drinks, but that can be hard anywhere. I'm glad they have non dairy/vegan options and hope we can find more in the future! (Like a vegan milk tea would be super rad)

For the final boba of my recent trip to Portland, I chose to go to Royaltea and I'm glad I did. This turned out to be the best drink of the 3 places I went. I found the store a bit hard to find, but that was probably my own fault. Since it's located right next to the entrance of the SF Supermarket Mall, I thought it was inside the mall instead of being on the outside. Anyways, after walking around a bit, I found the real entrance and got one drink.Royal King (Original Milk Tea), 50% Sweet w/ Boba ($6.50) - As soon as I had my first sip, I knew this was going to be a 5. They use a pre-brewed black tea from a tea dispenser, but the tea is quite strong in this drink. It definitely felt and tasted quite a bit more concentrated in tea flavor vs. a lot of other places. Half sweet was nice - it's a good sweetness level that didn't overwhelm the tea. The boba had a great soft chew - maybe just a bit overcooked, but not by much. I thought it would get harder while sitting in the cold drink, but the texture barely budged. Additionally, the boba is soaked in brown sugar, which helps sweeten the drink further. The drinks at Royaltea are not perfect, but way better than most other places. If they opened a shop near me, I would definitely be a regular.

wow... their menu prices doesn't reflect the actual price. $8.50 a drink now is ridiculous... menu still says $5.50 smh.

Good teas, nice staff, the dining area has seen better days, but it seems like most people don't stay once they have their teas anyway.

As a self-proclaimed skeptic, I always approach trendy food and drink establishments with caution. So when I heard about the new bubble tea shop in town, I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. However, curiosity got the better of me, and I decided to give it a try. To my absolute delight, my visit to this bubble tea shop turned out to be a delightful surprise. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The vibrant colors, cozy seating, and the aroma of freshly brewed tea created a welcoming ambiance that immediately put me at ease. The friendly staff behind the counter exuded genuine enthusiasm and were more than happy to guide me through their extensive menu. Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the bubble tea itself. I had my doubts about the hype surrounding these chewy tapioca pearls, but one sip changed everything. The tea was perfectly brewed, striking a harmonious balance between the flavors of the tea leaves and the sweetness of the milk. The tapioca pearls added a playful textural element, making each sip a delightful experience. The range of flavors available was astonishing, from classic options like taro and matcha to more adventurous choices like passion fruit and lavender. What impressed me even more was the attention to detail in the preparation of the drinks. Each cup was meticulously crafted polymer, and the presentation was simply mesmerizing. The staff paid close attention to the quality and consistency of the ingredients, ensuring that every drink was a work of art. They even allowed customization, allowing me to adjust the sweetness and ice levels to suit my personal preference. What truly set this bubble tea shop apart was the exceptional service. The staff genuinely cared about the customer experience and went above and beyond to ensure that I enjoyed my visit. They patiently answered my questions, made recommendations based on my preferences, and made me feel valued as a customer. In conclusion, I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at this bubble tea shop. From the moment I stepped through the door, my skepticism was replaced with genuine delight. The expertly brewed teas, creative flavors, meticulous presentation, and outstanding customer service all contributed to a memorable visit. If you're a bubble tea aficionado or just curious to try something new, I highly recommend giving this shop a chance. Prepare to be pleasantly surprised, just like I was!

I ordered the fresh avocado blended milk tea, and it was divine! Love that they are very accomodating even if it took awhile for us to order which includes change of mind on what to put in. Recommend always to put toppings in your milk tea. personal choice is boba for the win!
