PDX restaurants usually have atmosphere OR excellent food, Sapphire Hotel has both! The decor is cute. They played good music. The full cheese board was our favorite part. One of the few restaurants worth the cost of eating out in Portland.

I did not stay in the hotel but the food was amazing. Wonderful staff. Lovely atmosphere, and a nice menu with lots of options. The beet vegetarian burger was very filling, but what stole my heart was the farmer’s cheeseboard.

Love this place! Cocktails are unique and delicious, and such a great price. Food is great, staff is always friendly, and the atmosphere is so warm and inviting. Sapphire Hotel is such a little gem of a place right in the heart of SE. we love their Happy Hour too… this will become a favorite spot of yours, I promise.

Nice place. We only went to the bar. Service was good. Sadly, we got there a few minutes before last call (11:30pm). We had hoped to stay longer. We need to plan better in the future.
Ever since I first visited this place many moons ago, I've always had fond memories of it. So whenever I find myself on Hawthorn it's time for my return. Today was the day! I was instantly reminded by how cozy a place this is. They have a wood stove with a few comfy seats. There's plenty of tables for two, outdoor covered seating, and a few nice spots at the bar. Their cocktail menu is very creative. I enjoyed the Lounge Singer (redux) and will have to come back for the Devil's Lettuce and Seasonal Manhattan. The food is also well done and I enjoyed the crab cakes and Sapphire Chicken salad. They also have several tempting desserts that I'll need to come back for. Service was also kind and attentive. I always have a good time here and I'm looking forward for my next chance to return!

About 5 of us ladies went in on Thursday night for sinks and snacks and our server Eve was so kind and patient! Such great service and professional. She made our night feel great and I appreciate the attention to care and detail she showed us. Even let me try two different wines to decide what I wanted. Well come back again!
