The cocktails are amazing and the atmosphere is out of this world. The service is wonderful and I love the speakeasy feel. Totally feels like a lounge or a club with great lighting and wonderful decor. Definitely something to check out.

The hostess’s customer service was terrible on Friday. Our group of 3 was a walk-in and we were ok to sit at the bar. My friend checked in and we were told by the hostess that the wait time would be 1.5 hours. We were ok with the 1.5 hour wait time and went to another bar in the neighborhood to wait our time. When we returned after 1.5 hours, we were told by the hostess that our spot was not ready and that we still needed to wait longer. In addition, the hostess reprimanded us for not having made a reservation. We left.A few blocks away is Noble Rot and they gratuitously took our business. They provided excellent food, drinks, and service.2.5 hours later, the hostess sent us a message that our table was ready. lol. What a joke.

It's a cool little hard to find spot with all the scotch. It was super busy but worth the wait. The soft shell crab sandwich was among the best ways I have had crab prepared. It was just spectacular!

Exceptional cocktails of high caliber. Bartenders know their stuff and it shows. Creative food offerings were an excellent match to the extraordinary spirit concoctions. Great hole in the wall atmosphere perfect for a quiet evening.

Great vibe and aesthetic, food was good enough (softshell crab sandwich was by far the best). Epic whiskey selection though overpriced whiskey based on other bars in Portland offering similar top-shelf bourbons and rare bottles. the 4-grain old fashioned was just ok. It was full when we visited and we waited more than 40 minutes for our mains which felt like a long time given the small venue. Overall a lesser experience than I was expecting given the reviews. I’d go to Haymaker and Interurban again before returning to Scotch Lodge.Parking: It’ll be a crapshoot depending on how busy the other businesses are nearby.Kid-friendliness: Not Kid friendly

Wonderful bar that is somewhat hidden on the east side of Portland. A lot of creativity in their menu and the service is exceptional. The atmosphere in the place is wonderful and I can’t wait to go back again.

Gorgeous, thoughtful cocktails and good sized library of scotch and whiskey. Citrus granita with the oysters was beautifully paired and the crab roll was ginormous and delicious with a delicate lemony slaw.

I’ve been living in the Pacific Northwest for over 7 years (in Seattle) and have traveled all over Washington and Oregon. I’ve eaten at countless restaurants ranging in price, style, type of cuisine, etc. This is hands down the best dinner I’ve had in all those 7 years! Each dish is meticulously hand crafted by the chefs (highly recommend sitting at the chefs bar/station)! The flavors are complex, layered, and unique. My husband and I shared the arancini, beet salad, scallop crudo and the soft shell crab sandwich. Every single dish was phenomenal! The craft cocktails were equally as enjoyable with a range of flavors and waves of flavor profiles that came through with every sip. Absolutely incredible, we will be back every time we visit Portland!Highly recommend planning your visit here and making a reservation. We did not make a reservation and waited 90 mins to be seated… although I’d do it all over again to eat that meal!

Honestly this is such a hidden gem. I had no idea this place even existed and randomly stumbled upon it bar hopping one night and decided to give it a try. It's not very well defined of where it is. You open this old metal door and go into a basement. Once down there you are greeted with this amazing cocktail speakeasy type feel establishment. Only had drinks and they were top-notch! They were fairly busy but got some seats at the bar luckily. The bartender was personable and great to talk to. Made conversation with the folks next to me and they come here every time they visit Portland. Clearly, I had just been missing out!

This small underground venue has an amazing selection of whiskeys. The decor feels exactly like an old world Library, a perfect atmosphere for sipping whiskey. In addition to that, they have a selection of appetizers, and some larger plates. We got the Penicillin, best one I have had, fried brie, as well as a couple of 1 oz pours. The staff were exceptionally knowledgeable and nice. I would highly recommend giving this place a visit.

4 stars for the vibes. Great music and cozy atmosphere. But the food.... If I had to pick one word to describe it- overwhelming. The ricotta on the toast was overpoweringly cheesy and salty, and the Granatas on the oysters were just... too much. Arancini was the best out of everything we had, but was still quite thick. I would come here again if one of my friends invited me... but myself, I would not initiate it.
