Sengatera restaurant is one of the best restaurant which I knew in portland,especially I like thier Shiro and Sengatera special and I recommend to test it.great keep it up!

We've been looking for a standout Ethiopian restaurant ever since our fav on NE Broadway closed several years ago. This one isn't it. The food is is fine, but not the deep, earthy flavors we know to be great Ethiopian cuisine. The family's service was excellent, and they took care of everything we needed. The atmosphere isn't why we come to any restaurant, but there didn't seem to be care taken here with the decor, ND a sticky exterior door that we had to close ourselves to keep the cold out was annoying. We'll keep looking...so thankful that Portland has many choices for this wonderful cuisine.

Just a couple vegan options, but wowweee, that veggie playe is phenomenal! Come on an empty stomach and load up on this goodness! Staff are very friendly as well. The place is a bit run down and there was no hot water in the bathroom, but whatevs.

Great service and delicious Ethiopian dinner! Ordered an appetizer and the veggie/meat combo which fed three of us with leftovers. Would highly recommend and will be coming back soon. Many thanks!

Excellent food, friendly service, nice relaxed atmosphere. Bar pours the drinks heavy A+ Dress warm, the restaurant is on the cool side. Nice music videos playing on big TV but not too loud. Get the family combo, it has a little of everything and it's all delicious. We will definitely revisit.

The sambusa and combo special were superb. Generous portions, food is fresh and authentic. New regular go-to spot for Ethiopian whenever I’m in town.
