They don't wash their hands at this location. A young man touched the drank out of, coffee cup , and lid and rim of the cup of a homeless man, added coffee to it, touched this cup with both hands then proceeded to touch all the new lids, cups, and doughnuts. He was asked to wash his hands and wear gloves and he refused. A young girl there touches the raw eggs mixes them and microwaves them- then touches her face, hair, scratches her butt, then touches the cases and all the ready to eat doughnuts and pastries. She also refuses to wash her hands.
Managers and the owner have been told about this. And it continues The staff here DO NOT WASH THEIR HANDS, even when reminded to, even when the owner tells them too. The manager didn't think they should wash their hands after touching eaten sandwiches, and drank out of cups lids and coffees.
Avoid this place. Especially if you are pregnant, over 60, or a child. You will get food poisoning. They do not care about food handling and food safety and basic hygiene and health.

Early on a drizzly morning, I was greeted kindly with superb service. The shop has a cute old school donut shop vibe, complete with helpful staff.
Now on to the donuts! The chew of the raised donuts is nearly perfect. The dough is light, not cloyingly sweet and with the slight chew you're looking for in a good raised donut. I highly recommend their filled donuts. Also, the chocolate glaze was decadent again with that alright balace of sweet. Now on to my favorite, the sesame donut is a must. A plain cake donut with a light glaze dipped in toasted sesame seeds! This mildly sweet donut is perfection. I'll be thinking about it until I get it next!
*Coffee was a nice med-light roast.)

I LOVE Sesame Donuts and have been to a variety of their locations. Their food & beverages are always yummy.
The service here left something to be desired - especially my missing donuts. I asked for a dozen, and called out each donut one by one. Somehow I ended up with three incorrect donuts that were not even close to the ones i asked for. One didn’t even seem to be a donut, but more of a lump of icing with a small amount of dough attached to it.
If the guy at the counter seems like he’s hit his dab pen a few too many times, double check everything in your box is correct before leaving.

After three visits, I'm done. Place smells like chain smokers. Its in the walls. Staff is antagonistic.
I never had a pleasant experience here. But I keep trying because I want to support these kinds of shops.
The donuts I get were fine. Its the staff. Every time I go, it's like you're bothering them for existing.
Got a combo (coffee and two donuts) and brought my own thermos. She wanted to argue about the coffee size. Then filled the rest with milk?
Another time, I ordered a bagel sandwich and the guy behind the counter just gave it to someone else. Then the cashier argued with him to make me another one.
Yeah this place is problematic.
Their yeast donut holes are ADDICTING!

Very rude staff, moment I walk in they start looking at me like I’m unwelcome and the whole place smelled like cigarettes and the donates looked dirty.

The maple bar was more visually appealing, but I accidentally smashed it so that’s why it looks like that, but it’s still really good ! I love sesame doughnuts! All locations I’ve been to throughout the trip city Portland metro area are good consistency and all taste amazing for their doughnuts!!! The blueberry and apple fritter are so tasty!!! And I love the tasty soft and decadent maple bar!!!
