Shaved Ice Restaurants near Portland, OR

“As someone who isn’t classically a huge match fan I wasn’t sure what to expect from this place. We came in on a Thursday evening and luckily it was not super busy but I’m told it can fill in quickly and often has a line.

I wound up going for their seasonal cone flavor which was peach and was quite refreshing and tasty. They have a wide assortment of menu options and types of match dessert to choose from. They use a buzzer system and have seating in the back to accommodate maybe 6-8 groups.

The atmosphere is well lit and clean. Definitely appears to attract a bit of a younger crowd.“

Amazing and delicious ube shave ice with ube foam and nicely toasted coconut.
The toasted coconut made the flavor meld perfectly.

The shop is located in a covered walkway space with many other shops (ramen on one end). Across the street from Powell's.

The woman making the shave ice was also able to take orders at the doorway/ window if you didn't want to place the order online.
The online shop ordering system was quite easy, though I don't remember if there was an option to leave a tip. There is a physical tip box though.

Other folks dropping by also agreed the shave ice is oh-so-delicious.

“For my 1st 4th of July at Oaks Park my experience was amazing, except for the weather ? too hot but hey!!! Island Daydream save the day ? the flavors shocked me because they were so good, and the ice was easy to eat not like other ones that feel like rocks ? ??? “Very fine shaved ice with so many popular flavors! Small cup is just enough for one person or to share with a friend, regular size is huge!
Late night is slower business but they are almost always very very busy. So be ready to wait for a long time….it worth waiting for though!!“

“There's nothing better than having a hot dog after a morning walk through the park. The Polish sausage was worthy of being devoured. Had a blast adding my favorite condiments. Their lemonade was also cold and refreshing. I wish they had free refills.“

“First time here and we will definitely be back again. My husband and daughter stopped in for some shave ice. Not too long after, my daughter accidentally dropped hers, leading to lots of tears. The person working came out, unbeknownst to us, with a replacement and reassurance. Thank you, it was very kind.“
