This place isn’t bad but a lot of the girl bartenders seems to have some attitude behind service especially if they feel like they deserve a bigger tip then 20% on top of the bill. Not gonna put any names but don’t be in the service industry & act rude to regulars like myself.
"This Ship Don't Sink" is the perfect motto for this bar. A local neighborhood spot that's been kicking up dust since the 40's offering local craft beers and great times. From the welcoming demeanor of the bartenders to the heavy handed drinks, this the place to be in the neighborhood, friendly atmosphere, great locals/regulars that have been coming here for many many years makenit very inviting and wholesome. I've made many a great friend with staff...
They stay open until 2:30 unlike most of the bars in Portland nowadays. For that reason alone I'm giving them 5 stars. I've been there during daylight hours and now late night hours. With both experiences I have learned that Ship Ahoy Tavern has very friendly bartenders. I didn't feel uncomfortable. I didn't feel like the regulars got more attention. All around I think this place is great. I won at video poker too so that's always a good thing! Thanks...
