This is just the sweetest little coffee shop you will ever find. Coffee is fantastic, pastries are out of this world, service is stellar, ambiance is lovely, and they have a great little selection of quality grab and go snacks.

Horrible service. Mediocre coffee. Rude employee. Bad experience overall. Won't be going back.

A most excellent cappuccino, brought back memories of northern Italy in terms of the coffee, so very good! Thank you.
Great coffee, awesome place, I'm here at least once a week.

If you drink decaf, skip this place ? over extracted espresso. A lot of coworkers go here so I tried this place pre-covid, multiple times, then again today, and had the same problem with over extracted espresso taste.
It’s unfair to charge the same price for a decaf latte as other craft coffee shops in the area, when it tastes bitter, dry, and leaves a very unpleasant taste in your mouth. Please please dial in your shots for decaf ?
The owner is very kind and sweet so I’m giving stars for that. There’s always a long line and she goes quick! So it’s a great spot for fast service, but unfortunately it may come at the cost of quality.

Rude owner. As echoed by the many 1 star reviews. Brought in box of Voodoo doughnuts that we had no intention of eating in cafe, saving for later. Although we did purchase sausage roll and coffees to eat in establishment. Owner said “I just ask that you don’t hang out here with your doughnuts”. Along with rude gestures.
I’m sure Voodoo brings in many patrons to this establishment. But owner is more concerned with a pink box than the homeless sleeping on tables.

Lovely shop with hard working owner! Pastries are delicious. She even makes her own caramel syrup for the salted caramel latte. Yum!

I used to live right around the corner and coming here would be the highlight of my day. Lauren makes you feel cared for, while also getting through a line fast. She always has a smile on her face and makes the best turnovers! The upstairs loft is always a wonderful spot to sit and sip on a coffee while reading a book or playing a game with a friend.
Anytime I get the chance, I jump at the opportunity to drive across town to make a stop at this lovely little spot.

Simple. Local. Coffee. is a friendly coffee shop with a great simple (obvious) menu. While the coffee is great, I believe the pastries are extra delicious. I enjoy the homemade scones- both sweet scones and savory scones.

Nice, cute coffee shop in the SW Ash Street (between 1st and 2nd Ave). Lot of space to sit and relax, have a conversation ? Definitely another good place in Downtown Portland. Wish it was open during the weekend
Cute spot, clean and airy
