About Sorbu Paninoteca
Sorbu Paninoteca Reviews
Sorbu’s food tonight brought me back to my hometown, Livorno. Perfect rendition of the classic “5 e 5 con le melanzane” like you can find in the streets of Livorno, and a Porchetta sandwich as it could have been served by a legendary paninoteca from my youth (the salsa verde is the real deal). We’ll be back!
Thanks to fellow Tuscan-Portlander for the recommendation!
Menu
Sorbu Paninoteca is a charming restaurant with a cozy covered seating area and parking available. The menu changes every couple of weeks, with regular updates on the website and social media. The food is outstanding, featuring fresh ingredients and flavors. The staff is friendly and accommodating, providing a chill service atmosphere. The menu includes paninis, sandwiches, and other options. Highlights include the focaccia with a minty fresh olive oil and the 5e5 panini with eggplant and chickpea patty, which some customers find to be the best vegetarian sandwich. The salcicia sandwich is a popular choice as well. Guests also enjoy dishes like Zappa of the day, which features parsnip puree, and polenta ragu, which smells and looks amazing. The salads are fresh and beautifully presented, though one reviewer noted they could do without the nori. Desserts like the whipped citrus curd with rhubarb compost have received enthusiastic praise. While the venue may not be in the most conventional location, the cozy side shack and covered seating make up for it, making it a great spot for lunch or a casual meal.
