Each time we visit Portland, we always make it a point to have dinner here. But I will have to say... this may have been out last. Menu, staff, and quality of food was not up to par as our last visits since 2021.
As always, our dinner at Southpark was fantastic. We went for the Friday happy hour fish fry (offered during the month of August). There are five types of seafood to choose from, and include two sides and your choice of sauce. I had the steelhead with mashed potatoes, coleslaw and remoulade. My husband had cod, fries, coleslaw and habanero aioli. Both were delicious!! We each had the flight of local rosé's, perfect with our meal. Service was great - I accidentally dropped...
We were 4 first time diners! Coming from Florida was anxious to sample the swordfish vs what we get on the Gulf. Found yours somewhat meatier, but not as soft. The greens & forbidden rice were nice accompaniments. My partner opted for the baby flavor filled shrimp, quite tasty. Our daughter's selection of the Cioppino a bit too soupy. Serving rather "leisurely" short on spot on svc. Overall enjoyable Allan H
