Great chai latte and orange ginger baked good! Staff could smile more! Great atmosphere otherwise!
The St. Honoré pastry is really great. I love the crunchy outside of the eclair, but I didn't like the pastry bottom.
I tried two other pastries and they were both good.
Really friendly service and great vibe
I didn’t like the flavor of the breakfast panini’s sauce that the sandwich couldn’t be prepared without. So I asked if I could have some ketchup and this was the exchange with the dark haired girl mixing coffee drinks: “ketchup? Why?”
Me: why? To put on my sandwich…
Her: No, we don’t have ketchup.
Insanity.
We were in Portland for only a few days, but had breakfast here each and everyday since it was a short walk from our hotel. The quiche Lorraine was delicious, as was the citrus tart and pain au chocolat (very flaky and buttery).
The people are awesome and everything looks good but the tastes are off. We love the baguette and all the breads but the sandwiches are not good. The mini chocolate croissants flavor was off, I’ve never had one that was so off. It felt like too much of something. The Brie sandwich was soooo sweet from the caramelized onions and soooo salty from the meat I had to separate it to make it make sense. The salad boxes come so filled to the brim you can’t even toss it. The opera cake was very stale, but I should’ve known since we were the first few people in there and there was only one slice left, and I paid full price. Not coming back.
Beautiful, wonderful people. A great cup of coffee. And a darn good pastry! Plus they're wheelchair and service dog friendly! Sending love to this place and the kind humans that run it. Thank you for being so welcoming.
I come here for the wonderful opera cake and all their pastries are very yummy 😋 that being said the girl with the short brown hair who served me at 8:17am on May 12th 2025 was rude as hell and gave me a tepid Chai and then rolled her eyes when I asked for a plate and when I said thank you she didn’t respond also I personally bussed the table next to me so I didn’t have to sit next to dirty dishes I guess the staff was to busy gossiping to be bothered with actually working!!! This was the downtown location!!! So lame!!!!😒
I ordered an ice chai latte yesterday from Uber eat, added $1 for whipped cream and they missed that! Very disappointed! 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
I used to come here a lot in the summer time but it seems like they gotta new chef/baker. I got the brie and herb sandwich and the bread was stale, hard to eat and chew through. Also got the mixed berry tart, they used some kind of simple syrup gelatin glaze and it was not good. The tart was more like a cookie on the bottom and more like dessert than a morning time pastry. I also got a matcha, they told me it was already sweetened so I didn't get anything in the matcha but it was extremely sweet and didn't taste like matcha at all. My partner got an iced black tea and it was foggy and cloudy like they rushed they brew process and didn't taste like tea at all. Over all not the best experience. The service we received at the register was fine, the person that helped us was very polite but the second they turn around and aren't helping someone anymore it's bad talking customers and standing around. I don't think I'll be back anymore.

We order a fresh fruit tart, Black Forest cake and I don’t remember the last one but was with raisins, was good but not really good for the price, the barista was really nice
Staff extremely rude and misgendered myself and my company. Will never be back ever.
3 people behind the counter, slow as molasses, every table dirty, floor was a mess. try harder for a 30 dollar, 2 cappuccino, 2 pastry breakfast with 25% tip.
Great location that I was excited to find when I first moved here. The espresso and baked goods are well above average, and some of the staff are pretty courteous and welcoming. BUT... there are a handful of the staff who are smiling-surly. I would prefer courteous....or even to be told to F off, rather than sneering passive aggressive behavior. Their place on Thurman is better in every way...except they don't have the cinnamon roll, which is amazing. Get one. 🙂 This place needs better leadership in the store to really shine.
Total disappointment, first sandwiches weren’t fresh, probably made the day before and the salad neither looks fresh this got me sick an hour later.
The staff isn’t friendly at all, and you have to buzz your own table that of course you tip 20% for noting…
