Staff was very kind. When we got there someone had just ordered 20 pizzas so they were having trouble keeping up, and running Low on slices, they were very accommodating and ended up able to get me a large pizza for my family very quickly by modifying a canceled order. Pizza was excellent.

Did the two slices of pizza and soda for $10 deal. About as solid a price as you can probably expect for good slice pizza these days. I got cheese and Hawaiian and they were satisfying and tasty. One of the nice parts about the location is they’ve blocked off a nearby street to set up picnic tables and chairs to sit in. You don’t have to order anything, but it’s nice to have that option if seating inside is full, which it was when I went.

Being from outside of Philly,I am pretty set in what I like in pizza. This place hits just right! Delicious pizza and very reasonable meal deals. 2 slices and a drink for $10! Thanks for lunch SFNY on Hawthorne!
The calzones are the best kept secret in Portland! Being from the Beaverton area, its almost impossible to find calzones that actually use ricotta cheese. This place uses it in a wonderful calzone that comes in a decent size for a good price. Excellent service as well. Definitely worth a visit for those looking for a real calzone or even a quick slice.

Quick, fresh, and tasty. Good value for money. We shared the $10 two-slice and refillable soda deal. The pizza selection is solid, about 10 different flavours on the counter. Pizza is heated and served really fast, with a few dips available. The soda is refillable, or you can grab a can to take away. Tables were a little grubby, we had to wipe ours down with a napkin. The guy who served us was nice enough but couldn’t really be arsed. Definitely worth swinging by if you want something fast and cheap to eat.

Really good when it's fresh out the oven. Very thin crust, and melty cheese and sauce. Limited space, but so is a New York pizza place, so I say that's pretty authentic.

I don’t like writing bad reviews, but…… They deserve one. I no longer go to the Hawthorne location because the service is so poor. The pizza is good. If you can get it. Location is awesome. I had 3 different tries eating here in the last 6 months and left 3 times because of a lack of slices. I mean like 2 slices of veggie and that’s it. I asked each time if there were pizzas on their way out and/or what the wait time was. Either got a stone cold dead eye stare or was told they weren’t making more-as if I was crazy for asking.
You sell pizza by the slice people. No pizza place waits until all slices are gone before starting more. It’s not difficult.
Full disclosure, I have never worked at a pizza place, but I would think you would want to never run out of pepperoni and cheese slices. I feel like the problem is staffing because the Belmont location is NEVER like this. Belmont SFNY staff is great. Been there 20+ times. They have pizza ready or they are making it. Always. And they are friendly.

This pizza was fine, but it isn't good enough to deal with the surly staff and mediocre setting. I get it, customer service sucks. But maybe stick to back-of-house work if you can't at least pretend to tolerate other humans?

Pizza quality has plummeted. Every time I give it another chance, it's worse than before. Soggy crust, scant cheese, filthy space.

This is a great spot for pizza and a beer. Whenever I’m thrifting on Hawthorne I always go here for a refuel. Not to mention their afternoon slice deal for $3.50!
Great pizza but their phone line has been broken for over 3 weeks. The operator asks to “press 2 or 3” for either Portland store, and after pressing the button it’s just repeats itself over and over and over. Very frustrating
