My friend had a reservation for a party of 4 for her birthday on a busy Friday night. I was shocked that we waited 40 minutes for cocktails after being seated! The entire dinner took 3 hours- (6:30-9:30) service was EXTREMELY slow. Our server was unaware of simple things like refilling our water. Food was all amazing. Platonic ideal combo of top tier food and relaxed neighborhood vibes. Great wine list. Lots of fun pop ups. Oyster Mondays. Only quibble is dining room is too reverberous -- get some carpets, por favor.
This was really a lovely dining experience. It definitely leans into the small plate for sharing/ vibe. The dishes were really unique and pleasant. Two standouts were the miso succotash which was a real surprise, and the burnt basque cheesecake which was so lovely in taste and texture. It can be a bit loud for the older set; there is dining al fresco available. There is a nice selection of wines by the glass.
