If you like pork this is the place. Usually I have had good experiences here but I won't be back due to bad service on behalf of the lady with glasses behind the counter. She was not very nice nor honest.

Came here based on a recommendation from our realtor and we're so happy she recommended it! It's next to the pie spot and it's a hidden local gem. It's a smaller space but it has nice sandwich options for you to order. I ended up getting the porchetta to go and while I was waiting for my sandwich to be prepared you can browse their fridges for frozen sausages, meats, salsas, and other items you can take home. They had a ton of locals come in and pick up so I will be sure to come back to search the other meats to grill or make pastas. As for the porchetta sandwich it was really tasty! It was smaller than I expected for the portion size but the meat was flavorful and tender. The bread had a nice chew and the salsa verde added a nice kick balanced out by the bitterness of the arugula. The garlic aioli tied everything together but it was a great balance of flavors and textures. It wasn't super oily either that can happen with pork which was a nice plus. Be sure to come back and check them out!

Tails and trotters is the most magnificent experience! The Grinder is delicious! The service is so warm and inviting and fun. My husband is from Portland and I lived there for 14 yrs before we moved to New Mexico. The staff here were always so sweet to my mom when she visited us. Some Portland p restaurants have staff that are just too cool for school and treat people who aren't hipsters like peasants. No here. These guys always went out of their way to be kind and polite. I just can't say enough wonderful things about this spot!! We are coming for a visit soon and we will be making it our first stop when we get there. Every time we are in town we have to get sandwiches here ASAP!!

REALLY GOODthey have amazing quality meats and delicious sandwiches if your wondering how good of quality the meats are well let me tell you they are really good definitely the best in the city i would not trust any other place in terms of meat as much as i trust them the sandwiches are literally so delicious too

so incredibly delicious! just tried this spot for the first time and had such a pleasant experience. the people working there were very kind and the service was so quick! my partner and I got the Pepper Steak Special and the Classic Ham and split it between the both of us, and WOW! the Steak Special was jam packed with flavors, from the pickled peppers/onions to the peppered steak. Even the Classic Ham was so good too, even being so simple. if you like sandwiches, you gotta try this spot! I will definitely be coming back here and trying their charcuterie boards.

Drove an hour to get here. Just made it with 5 min before closing. Except they had already closed. Business like this is not worth patronizing. There are plenty other stores in PDX that honor their hours.

A place for all you porketarians out there. All sorts of cured pork yummies from heritage pigs fed, what else for the northwest, hazelnuts (aka filberts). Pictured here is their porcetta on rustic bread sandwiches. Only a few tables there, the staff was so helpful and nice, gave us some wonderful samples of some meats we were interested in for the charcuterie board we're bringing for Thanksgiving. All sorts of pork sausages, cured pork, pork preparations, and fresh pork are sold here. Will have to come back for a couple pounds of their ready to roast porcetta roast...OINK!!!

Saw it on TripleD, had to have it. So many options for those that dig on the swine. I went traditional and had the roast pork sammie. Bread & spread were excellent - the pork was delicious, definitely could get the earthiness of the hazelnut finish. Staff is great and very helpful. Great experience in Portland.

WHOA. Like, WHOA. Other than the incredible service, the meat selection is DOOOPPPEEE. $70 EASY spent. I also enjoyed a Cotto Sandwhich, dine in, which was literally incredible. Even the bread was delicious. I could have used a bit more aioli but still….mmmuah. They have a cider from Ciderboys called Grand Mimosa…GOD, delish, I don’t even drink cider and I ended up having two! The staff was extremely sweet (I got a little freebie!!! Shhh) and one of the chefs in the back was also nice eye candy while I enjoyed my meal ? I was looking forward to coming here and I’m VERY pleased all around!!!

I've wanted to come to this place for a long time but for whatever reason, it took me a while to get here. I was not disappointed. It's pork dominant sandwiches so if you're a vegetarian, might not be the place for you. I got Grinder, the sandwich is on a heavy crusty bread. The cold cuts used tasted great without being overly salty or processed. They also had a pepper paste which gave it a delightful vinegary depth to counteract the cold cuts. Maybe you're not into a cold cuts saltiness? The cold Cubano-style Sandwich was refreshing and so good. The bread is hoagie style. I would definitely get this combination. We ordered online and the food was ready almost instantly. While there, my eyes went crazy with all the delicious pork offering, sausages, butcher shop, charcuterie. If their sandwiches are any indicator, you won't go wrong with anything in this store.
