My first time going here and it has a very cozy atmosphere. The food’s not bad, despite being a bit pricey. The owner is really nice and they have a variety of novelty drinks (alcohol and non-alcohol) that you won’t be able to find here in the states. A once in a while, special occasion place, to eat at.

Tiny place, excellent food, limited menu (hence "bistro"), authentic. Check the menu before you go to make sure this place is for you. Where I live, this is the type of place you wouldn't see many non-Chinese customers. Or, not so long ago dishes like many here wouldn't be on the English menu. Glad that's changed! I'll be back, for sure. I need to add the black tea I had here is next level! Details like that matter, and shows their dedication to excellence.

We had the Pork Belly Bun and the Taiwan Bistro Special. The stew was well cooked, very tender and well seasoned. During our stay, it seemed to be a quiet period with hardly any customers, and the staff, managing both orders and cooking alone, appeared to be overwhelmed. The food also took a considerable amount of time to be served. The interior was tastefully decorated and had a nice atmosphere.?✨

There was a thin shop assistant who couldn't see any happiness on his face, and his tone of voice was very cold! No service! I just asked her if she could add a little more rice and showed her the amount of rice she needed to add. Without any communication with me, she turned and went directly to the kitchen and filled a large bowl of rice and charged her $2.99 and another $2.99. The store clerk has a nice attitude!

First thing that influenced me to come here was the ambience, I love the dim lights and wooden bar tables. I came in with my favourite Chinese Danmei novel, and it turned out one of the lovely women working there was also a big fan of the same author and novels! I wound up spending more than I expected, but the food was delicious. What a lovely hidden gem!
This is such a lovely, unassuming, hole in the wall spot. It's literally around the corner from my house and I only just tried it recently. The interior is meticulously designed and cozy. Non alcoholic tea beverages were delightful, but they also carry Taiwanese beer and sake. We ordered the pork belly bao, garlic cucumber salad, garlic noodles, beef shank, hundred layer tofu and minced pork over rice to share along three people. Everything was delicious and we only left a few bites of food behind. I am still thinking about all these little bites. So tasty! A must try for those who don't think we have great food options in the neighborhood and worth the trip for those nearby!
