Had a great time here a couple months ago. They had a limited menu due to covid. But the wines were delicious. If I wasn't about to board a plane I would have bought a couple bottles. We did a wine tasting and the one guy working there was awesome at matching us with wines we liked.

We had a great cheese selection at Taste. We were the only 2 people in the shop. They were out deviled eggs but said if we hung around 30 min they'd be ready. I took the sommelier recommendation for a "bold red" and was not dissatisfied, and one of the cheeses was an appenzeller - which was delicious. I'd go back to Taste! It's a fun viewpoint from above nw 23rd. It also gives you a nice view of Fireside so you can time your seating there too, which is how we played it. Had a chill glass of wine at Taste, watched the crowd ebb and flow at Fireside and headed there next. Edited to add: it was expensive but you do expect that on nw 23. I think coming here on a happy hour would be a good first step.

Finally, I made it into Taste, if only for a brief visit! Located inside an old house on NW 23rd, Taste is a cute, cozy wine bar. They have a fairly large menu of food bites, cheese, and charcuterie to accompany their wine pours, including flights. They also offer a couple wine cocktails, including $5 mimosas on Saturdays. Plus, they have a couple beers (In bottles) for the vino-averse crowd. My mother and I sat at a table by the window, perfect for people watching. My mother got the mimosa (heavy on the bubbles), while I opted to do the free wine tasting of the day. It was two out of the three wines in their pinot flight. The first one I tried, the Youngberg Hill Cuvee pinot, was absolutely delicious. Even my mother, not normally a fan of pinot noirs, really liked it. I had to get a full glass. Though a bit spendy compared to my usual wine purchases at $15, I thought it was worth it. We also got a burrata plate to share. It was so good - with milky creamy cheese just oozing out when we cut it, it went very well with the toast and minty apple chutney that came with it. Service was excellent - our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. I wish we could have spent more time here than we did. I'd definitely come back here! They have happy hour with some good specials on a few dollars off wine pours and they do different specials every day of the week!

Great wine bar which has some delicious wines and food! Staff are really knowledgeable about what they have and what you like! If you like burrata, I’d recommend arriving earlier as I had the last one and it was only 8:15pm!
