Great food, friendly staff! Came in on a Friday night and it we had the whole place to ourselves, which was surprising considering the quality of the food and service. Large portions, decent price, and very accommodating to our dietary restrictions. Definitely recommend!

Thai Pod does the standards really well, about as well as anyone. We had the coconut shrimp, chicken wings, beef salad, Pad see ew, and Pad phet. The sauce for the shrimp was sharp and pungent, the chicken wings spicy with thai seasonings. The noodle dish had a wonderful almost charred flavor and the curry dish spicy and unctuous from the coconut milk.

So glad I found this place! I often find myself underwhelmed by the Thai food in the area, but Thai Pod knocks it out of the park for me. The Pad Thai and Pad Kee Mao are stellar.

The kitchen was kind enough to swap wide noodles for the rice noodles on my Pad Thai order. They were excellent. Thank you

I have been here several times and it has become my go-to place for Thai food, honestly I wouldn't go anywhere else in Portland. Their food is delicious and fresh, the crab rangoons are my favorite. Staff is friendly, service is slightly slow but honestly that's a good thing because the quality is so good.

I am disappointed with the service I received as well as the food. I use to eat here as a teenager and recently been taken my kids here, and I wasn't treated like a value paying customer.
I came into the restaurant like I usually do, and I wasn't greeted or welcome, instead I was badgered about something my children were being accused of doing 2 weeks ago, the young lady said my children were playing in the chili sauce which is right by the water, and she accused me of not paying attention to them, when my kids ask for water which is around the corner from the register, and I can't see them where I stand to order and pay for the food !!!
I have waited more than 15 minutes for my food, and they have never said anything while waiting for that long of a time with my kids. Until now.
She also accused my children for taking too many chop sticks, I listened, but she kept coming off rude and nasty about this situation, So, I reminded her that I come in often and spend my hard earn money like everyone else. I ask her was this a kid friendly environment she said, yes! I told her It doesn't feel that way, because she was very combative and rude, as all I was just trying to do was order some food to go.
I haven't always got the best quality of food or service here, but it's close and convenient. My last order of fried rice was mushy and the veggies tasted slimy, the shrimp use to come in a box, now they just put it in the bag.
After, this encounter I lost my appetite, and I will not be returning. I eat out with my kids a lot and this was the first time this has ever happened. I will not buy food from nowhere where I don't feel valued as a customer, I have support their business to just be talked to any kind of way, lesson learned.
She accused me of not taking accountability because I didn't respond to how she talking to me, again as if I didn't pay for my food like everyone else, the only difference is that I am black and I have kids.
This isn't a kid friendly environment!!!!
