Amazing little, literal, hole in the wall for some quickish eats. Food is fresh and on point and the staff is super friendly. What more is there? Highly recommend the Spicy Russian. The Pastrami is hard to beat at this price. $1 chips and sodas like the ole’ days. Do it!

You immediately feel like “you been here before”. I was immediately welcomed and was suggested I try the Italian sausage but I decided to get the 2 hot dog special. Let me tell you it hit the spot. You should definitely give this a try!

A visit to John and Marcie is a staple! The Spicy Russian is hands down my favorite, and it’s dangerous that I work right around the corner from them!
Best Hot dogs in town.
Amazing couple that only work there kicking ass and taking orders.
Will always recommend this absolutely amazing place!

Absolutely delicious sandwiches. I tried the Spicy Russian and loved it. It's reasonably priced and a wonderful elderly couple runs the place. They are very friendly.

The food is delicious and clearly made with love. If you need a quick, delicious, no-frills lunch in inner SE, definitely give this part-clubhouse-part-food-cart a try.

Without a doubt some of the best dogs and sausages I’ve had in my life, they’re accompanied with a friendly and welcoming staff that makes you leave with a full belly and a smile on your face

I'm always interested in hot dog joints. This one was obscure. Sometimes that can be amazing, like a speakeasy. This was not. They've been there for years but it looks like a fly-by-night stand. We ordered NY polish dogs with cheese. They were nothing special. Imagine a hot dog at a church or company pic-nic. That's what it was. My daughter said it best: "I wouldn't leave my apartment for this". To be fair, they cost only $6.50. I'm a level 9 Local Guide for Google Maps and I don't trash businesses. But this one was a miss. If you want a great hot dog, go to Zach's Shack or Frank's A Lot. This stand isn't worth the time unless you're next door or something. Check out my profile for great eateries and craft cocktail bars. -VanPort Insider

As authentic as it gets. Coming down just to meet John and Marcie makes it worth while. Love that you get to see all walks of life from blue and white collar jobs in a humble and quality spot.

The best Portland mom and pop shop you’ll ever find. The owners are so lovely and kind! The polish dog is delish and has a great spice to it. I will definitely be going back.

Small place with great food! I tried the Spicy Russian and bacon dog—both were excellent, especially for the price. The quality is impressive, and the flavors are spot on. As others have mentioned, the staff at Panera are genuinely kind and make the experience even better. Highly recommend!
